    my 2004 360 needs a belt change.

Ferrari of Central Jersey quoted $4500 for timing belts, accessory belts, all fluids and filters changed. Does this sound typical for a dealer? I understand I could save $ if I go with a private service center but the car is certified pre-owned and has a few month of warranty left so I am more comfortable using the dealer.

What services should be performed? (my manual is in the car)

For dealer service that's a pretty good deal. But I am almost 100% certain they will call you back while the car is in the shop and tell you that you need another $2000 of work because this or that.

What happened to your oil leak? Have you found the source of the leak yet?

Some good shops charge $1,600 for belts change. For the fluids it is the labor that cost money. I think $4,500 is a fair price since it takes a lot time on labor and for sure the have to charge for the magical sd2. You also will have it certified. I did all that and spend around $1,500 on parts and tools. Like I said it sound like a fair price.

They removed the belly pan and inspected and found nothing. Their explanation was fluid trapped inside from past maintenance was now leaking out due to the hot weather & more frequent driving. ??? I say, Don't know if I agree with them.

The belt change is due in september so I want them to do it now because I think it will also give them the opportunity to further inspect the car.

I want them to provide me with a detailed list of services performed for $4500. From the manual I get the following:
    Alternator belt
    A/C compressor belt
    power steering belt
    engine oil & filter
    timing belt
    air filter
    spark plugs
    gearbox & differential oil
    power steering fluid
    brake & clutch fluid
    a/c coolant & cleaner
filter on A/C system outside air

Doing all that for $4500 sounds pretty fair to me.

    Very fair to me too.
If you take it to Houston it will cost you $15k because they need to take the engine out of the car!!!

I had all the above stuff done including parts and labor for $2859 on a 2002 360 Spider only last week. I think the 4500 price should include cam seal and cover gaskets, which I did not do as my car only has 7k on it.

Most fluid jobs, excluding gear box fluid, run about $800, add $250-300 for gear box. Make sure the clean the gear box filter, this requires dropping the rear bumper, thus the added time and cost.
Belt change with bearings, tensioners and variators should run around the $2200 mark. This price seems close enogh. You might get them to come down a few hundred bucks if you ask nicely.
