Watching this well put anyone in their place on how dangerous this sport really is. http://ronal.dcool-productions.com/Hits_Of_2004.darcyf1.wmv
I wonder how many factures the motorcyclist got. I've got pics of me being run over, and it isn't fun, but I can't see to throw them away. Art
Despite all the crashes in Formula 1 this year, the only driver that was injured was Ralf Schumacher from his 280kmph rear impact into concrete at Indianapolis. Massa went head on into the tyre wall at 290kmph at Montreal and walked away from it. In fact, it was said afterwards that if he hadn't been wearing the HANS device, his head would have fatally impacted with the steering wheel...
Good compilation. Was the guy whose car caught on fire with him against the wall hurt? One spectacular crash that was not included was Nakano on the Kawasaki MotoGP bike this year. His rear Bridgestone blew out at over 190 mph. The bike was completely destroyed, luckily he was not seriously hurt
That's Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s crash in the C5 Corvette at Sears or Laguna (can't remember which). He was burned badly enough that he missed a Nascar weekend as I recall.
True. And both of these accidents were analyzed in the aftermath and determined to have reached the braking point of safety devices. Any more speed or a little less luck and both drivers would have been dead. That's one of the main reasons why Mosley stepped in to change the rules drastically.
