I have been offered a good deal on a 2004 gallardo egear. is there any weaknesses or things i should worry about the egear or a 2004 model gallardo? i remember reading somewhere that the 2004 model was a problematic and unreliable car. can egear be driven in fully automatic mode? is it a smooth gearchange? can you drive in traffic without lunging forward as the clutches engage or reverse it into a parking spot without the worry of crashing into the car behind everytime? thanks.

Just make sure all the egar updates are in place and check the life remaining. I drove an 04 G that had 22k miles on it and it drove better than some 05's I've tested. Meaning, I wouldn't be afraid to buy an 04 with miles on it if it was well cared for.

what changes in looks and mechanics if any has the gallardo had since 2004? And can egear be driven in fully auto mode? in other words letting the car change gears for you? thanks.

It cannbe but I rarely use it. I have to be muti-tasking to use it...phone,food..etc
Lift upgrade and lower 1st gear ratio 05 onward. 20 hp hp increase..great cars buy one!

In fact buy my Twin turbo for 155k so I can buy a new spider to do a Turbo upgrade.
