    Agree.

what’s crazy is I sold my mint CS with stripe and no stories for not too much more a few years ago. Cars with stories were $145k back then. Insane.

Car was damaged in CA and fixed in Paraguay? Is that correct?

I had no idea. Thank you! We imported the car from Paraguay, which is where we got the Scud as well as a Porsche 356 and Mercedes SL190. I assumed the did the fix there. But it appears to have been done prior to shipping to South America. The details of the rebuild in that thread are excellent!

You fool. Then again, I sold mine in 2006 for $205,000, which is what I paid for it. I was afraid they would depreciate in value. Stupid me.

But remember, $205k was a lot more in 2006 than it is today. If you put that $205k into the SP500 back then (~1500), even without dividends it would be worth $750k+. You could buy 2 or 3 stradales today with that money.

So - you’re not a fool for selling for $205k in 2006, and technically inflation adjusted they have depreciated since then.

Holy hell! $209k for a salvage title Stradale. The appreciation on these has gone bonkers. Nice car though.

Yeah, except he spent most of it on beer and hookers.....then he just wasted the rest.

When I was working in India, one of my short term girlfriends was called Bombay Sapphire. Maybe he we crossed paths over there.

The CS for around $200k considering what looks like superficial damage ( from the one picture) is something like I would buy. You get the full ownership experience at a 30-40% discount.

Gerald Rouse, of Ferrari Market Letter fame, once told me all that matters in a Ferrari is: Condition, Condition, Contion. It is safe to assume, for example, that just about every old banger has been in an accident. I know of one 250 GTO that was wrecked to the firewall and then rebuilt, probably better than new. In this case, I'd love to see the seller take the car to a frame straightening shop to see if it still tracks true. If that is good, everything else is replaceable.

The car drives straight and even. We'd be happy to have it measured and tested for a serious buyer.

Good to hear. You might want to go ahead and get it tested. I don't think it costs all that much.

Yeah having that ready to go for a buyer seems paramount. Salvage title cars, just have everything someone will want up front.

It's hard enough to offload them sometimes.

If BTC was triple digits, this would be mine. I was a fool to let three other CS’s slip by. My small BTC investment is my CS gamble. If it gets to a point where it can buy me one great, if not…..oh well.
