I'm playing, but not enjoying this one as much as the yahoo. Not sure why - I guess the points are more random and I don't have the understanding of the way the game works like I did with the yahoo. Also this is more "luck" I think in that you have to pick the exact order of the qualifying, race, etc. for points.

 

I am still playing it. I think the biggest thing right now is how inconsistant the field is in relation to each and every race that is making this game such a challenenge. I.E. At Monaco i was the top scorer with 35 points. and jumped from 8th to 2nd in league overall points.

for Monaco i dont think there was a single player that chose Trulli on pole and winning. I Picked MS, JB, RB for Qual. MS, JB, RB for the race. picked 11 finishers, Bruni last last driver on track, MS fastest lap, and MS + RB for the Quinella. Those lousy picks netted me a grand total of 35 points.

As far as i am concerned the randomness of what is going on behind Ferrari is making this game quite the challenge the last couple of races.

 

What are the standings after Monte?

wax, your detailed analysis should be interesting this time around (How do you pull that data?)... as I expected, with those three ending up on top, lots of turnover today as many people hit the Trifecta!!

In particular, our own jmillard308 jumped to #2 (from #38)... only 5 out of first place! First time twilson has been challenged since his early Trifecta pick.

Four of the top 10 jumped there today with Trifecta scores... and 9 of the top 20! Some from more than 100 places down.

FerrariChat as a whole did well, as should be expected after a Ferrari 1-2, picking up two spots to #13... just one more point would have put us in the top 10!

 

I am just kicking myself for going with the Quinella instead of the MS,RB,JB Trifecta

I had unfortunately today my best result and in Monaco my worst, which made me happy:

F1 ought to be unpredictable and Monaco was just that and therefore for me the best race of the season. Today was so predictable that I had a hard time not falling asleep.

Ergo: If my F1Tipping forecasts go downhill, I'm actually happiest.

Obviously didn't have RS in the mix -(had Trulli 2nd with MS 1 & RB 3) but was quite content thinking no-one else would have Ralph in there either.

Post race disqualifications have been very kind to me on this race!

 

BMW and Toyota Disqualifications helped me save face!

 

No kidding if they did not DQ those cars i would have been luck to score 25 points still overall a screwed up result for myself

 

RB has been very unkind to my picks the last two weeks. In Canada he took fastest lap from Michael (my pick for fast lap) with two laps to go in the race, and now in Indy qualifying he really messed me up since I went with MS, JB and JPM. RB moved Michael down a notch and dropped JB out of the top 3 entirely. Somehow I know if I start picking him he'll fail me...

I guess RB just likes me more than you... he's been helping me out.

I picked him #1 and MS #2 in qualifying; and MS #1 and RB #2 in the race. Way to go Rubens! (He wasn't supposed to get fastest lap, though... that cost me 10. )

 

What's the rankings now?

 

Is there someplace to see the rankings on the F1 tippings web site itself? I mean the individual rankings inside our league like the ones posted by Wax before.

 

Not as cool & informative as what Wax posts... not sure where he gets that. But if you go to the league home page after you log in, then down near the bottom is the top 10 list... with a button to press to get the full list. Just shows the scores with a corresponding bar chart... none of the interesting details Wax gives.

 

Thanks!!! I came in third for the US GP... along with 3 other members, but 3rd none the less. Woohoo!

So where do we stand now? and what are the new group ranking?

I was way off because of the number of cars that finished and the last place driver.

 

Well, if the FIA had disqualified both darn Renaults I'd have done awesome!! I was not expecting Renault to be so good this week... fortunately, it looks like I only lost a few points to the rest of the field.

 

I have to agree i was hoping that Alonso would have blown up or tossed it off into the kitty litter I would have done much better also. alteast i have not lost much ground.

As of late i have not been able to pick a qualifying result to save my sorry butt
