What a great day!!!
1960 Ferrari 330 TRI/LM Testa Rossa First place at LeMans 1962 driven by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien
Today was very much fun. I took many pictures! I have also got some video of the 360 with the lights, power sliding around corners and tearing off many times . I have to say my favorite video clip is when that red Enzo ripped off nicely.
Here's a few more pics... Can't wait to see all the video footage that Richard's team is capturing!! The police-escorted drive to the track was a blast... they shut down I-10 for us!! (If only they could've cleared I-10 for the trip home. ) I love how John and Franco like to run track events! First time I ever had so much track time that I was worn out at the end of the day!
To end the day, John and Franco had us at the top of NO's World Trade Center in a rotating club... awesome view. But the John and Franco touch was that we were even police escorted to that... shutting down the street while we strolled the two blocks to the club. Complete with mini marching band! And free champagne. Great attention to detail!
Brian Great pics! And nice to meet you as well. I just noticed that I am in that 2nd to last pic. I am the guy with the ridiculous smile w/the tobacco colored jacket and slacks. Lol
After John's 355 had a run-in with the wall at the track, the Miura took over in stylish fashion. Here we are in Sunday's road rally waiting...as the police block over 4 miles of I-10... Also, it was very nice meeting everyone. One of the main characteristics of this event is the fact that we stress fun, not prententiousness. The FQC is a driver's event, and everyone present really understands that. Our guests are so down-to-earth that it's downright scary in some cases. More to come with coherence and rest...
