2005 430 model year concerns?

When it was still under warranty and yes more MK2 headers. That said, No issues for the next 20k miles at which point I replaced the headers with Kline just for peace of mind.

 

Bad fuel pumps will also cause limp mode and cat overheating. Not a bad idea to clean the injectors too while messing with the fuel system, and replace the o rings. Chugging cold starts usually revolve around leaky injectors.

 

Waiting on my Kline's to arrive...replacing 5k mile headers lol

 

Yes, he does the smoke as well as listening tests. FYI, he won the NA Ferrari tech competition when he was with FOD then came in 3rd at the world comp.

Thank you for this! Sounds like the timeframe and mileage very much parallels my car, so I appreciate this info.

I saw the Car and Driver article about this car, and doing the math, that's about 33k miles per set of MK2 headers.

 

.... just get a nice set of aftermarket headers... whatever you fancy. end of story.
