Recently, a friend of mine needed help bleeding the F1 Gearbox on a 2005 F430. The problem was that the car was shifting out of 3rd and going into Neutral on its own. We only had an SD2 tool (not the SD3 as the workshop manual stated), but we were successful in bleeding the system using the 575 F1 trans software (from the SD2). It actuated all the solenoids and diagnosed without any problems. We are planning to try this similar procedure on another friends 2005 612 Scag F1 trans.
Being that the cars are all from the same generation, I believe it may work. Has anyone tried this before?

i didn't think this thread would get much attention since there are few DIY'ers that have an SD2 to play with. Good News is, that it worked! The Clutch and Gear Selection assemblies were successfully bled on a 2005 612 Scaglietti using SD2. The Self learning also came up with positive results. On a SIDE NOTE: I want to add that this procedure was very experimental, and I am only stating our results for learning purposes. Bleeding the clutch and gear selector assemblies resolves the gear jumping out of 3rd problem, but the correct bleeding procedure, requires and SD3 tool. Happy Driving!!
