    Hello 612 owners,

My 2005 612 Scaglietti recently had its front bumper repaired due to extensive hairline cracks. The shop attributed it to trapped moisture during manufacturing, complicated by previous paint jobs. They think this because even after removing all the paint and primer down to the fibreglass, the cracks were still present.

The repair involved grinding out each crack, applying a new fiberglass layer, and refinishing. It's done, and I'm happy with the results, but I'm curious about others' experiences with this issue.

If you've dealt with similar hairline cracks on your 612's front bumper, or a similar era Ferrari, could you share:

    * What was the diagnosed cause?
    * What repair method was used?
    * How has the repair held up over time?
    * Have you experienced any long term issues after repair?

I'm interested in hearing about different repair approaches and the long-term outcomes.

    Thanks for your input.
