    HI FELLOW F CHATTERS. I AM IN THE MARKET FOR A 2005 997 C2.
THE CAR I AM LOOKING AT IS A DARK GREY WITH GREY. HAS THE CHRONO 2 PLUS PACKAGE SIX SPEED MANUEL TRANS. ITS A REAR WHEEL DRIVE. HAS 19 INCH RIMS. THE HORSEPOWER IS 320 AND TORQUE IS 279 OR SO.. ANYONE KNOWS HOW WELL THIS CAR IS. THE C4 AND THE S VERSION ARE BETTER BUT OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE FOR NOW. ALSO THIS CAR HAS FACTORY WARRANTY AND ONLY 3,000 MILES.. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY INFORMATION IS HELP FUL IS IT BETTER THEN A CORVETTE, RS4 S4.
OR CURRENT OWNERS REVIEWS. IS THIS A NICE CAR FOR A DAILY DRIVER.?
I DRIVE 19,000 MILES A YEAR. NOT WORRIED ABOUT RESALE SINCE ITS ONLY A PORSCHE. THE MOST SIMPLE PORSCHE IN THE LINE UP..

I got a C4S in november with 2000 mils. I have 6500 miles. Its my DD.

Car is perfect for this. Even in the light snow with summer tires.
I have the sports Exhaust which is a must as when i turn it off the car is mute.

I do about 210 miles per tank.

Have had no pb so far other than the radio interface being total rubbish.

I wouldnt get a RS4/S4 over a 997. They are just too bland looking. I like to turn back on my car after i parked it to give it another look..

Good choice. As long as you know what you are getting in to. I daily drive a 2003 C4S (12K miles/year). Other than having two RMS's replaced (at Porshce's cost), the car is bullet proof. The final RMS install has done the trick (as the mechanics said it would). Just when I think I am going to look at a more "civilized" ride, I end up on a road trip and instantly I am in love with the car again. I drive it, with winter tires/wheels, all through the Minnesota winter and have absolutely no problems. The car averages 21 - 24 MPG (depending on the season). The car does not have a quiet cabin, is rough riding, and has a crummy stereo, but it does live up to what it was built to do and will not let you down if you are interested in the car for what it is. I can enlighten you more if you have specific questions.
    Good Luck!

the 997 is significantly quieter and smoother riding than the 996, which is not as refined...for such a high performance sports car, the 997 is very comfortable and can be used as a daily driver without too many sacrifices.....good choice....
