Looking for opinions/reviews of living with a '05 Anniv. Spyder. Not as a daily driver, maybe 3-4 K miles a year. Thanks!

Very nice car. Lots of cool blue carbon fibre!! Yup, you read right, the CF parts are layered with blue stripes.

Essentially, it is a regular GranSport Spyder, with cosmetic touches. Overall great car with few problems. One is the soft hood, which is rather sensitive and sometimes it gets stuck. The other issue is the Cambiocorsa (F1) clutch, which needs some careful attention (don't reverse uphill, avoid stop-and-go traffic, F1 pump, replace F1 relay which may get stuck, the usual...).

One of those cosmetic extras, is the head-rest / roll-bar area that hides the soft top, it is a large piece of carbon, that was only made for these particular cars. Yes, this one too is in blue carbon!

Oh and avoid the "tech" cloth interiors, they are really crappy because they can't be cleaned properly, they can't be fixed so if they are damaged you need to replace them and they feel cheap compared to the all-leather interiors.

Since they are a GranSport Spyder, they come with the 19" Trofeo wheels, front and rear GS bumpers, GS exhaust and MSP/Sport buttons that open/close the exhaust valves.

Did I miss anything?... hmm oh yes.... those babies can power slide like there is no tomorrow! :D

    No problem.

I forgot to mention a few extra things. Compared to the 4200 Spyder, these cars also have the following differences:

    - Lowered ground height
    - Stiffer suspension
    - A 1 DIN unit (Maserati branded Becker Online stereo unit, with phone and GPS, but I think the phone doesn't work in the USA cars)
    - Different exhaust, it has an X-pipe and different rear tips (with valves as I mentioned above)
    - Steering has some difference, its a sharper.
    - Engine is still a 4200 but with some slight upgrades for 400bhp output (425 by the factory but they weren't allowed to put it on paper)
    - Uber cool sports seats
    - Big steering wheel in carbon fibre
    - RPM dial has "90 Anniversary" logo

Keep an eye for the optional extras, some of them are:

    - Cruise control
    - Front fog lights (USA can't have them)
    - Auditorioum 200 stereo upgrade
    - Door sills in carbon fibre
    - Door inserts in carbon fibre
    - Heated seats
    - Electric seats with 2-driver memory
    - Wind deflector with Maserati trident emblem
    - Coloured brake callipers
    - Rear view mirror automatic mono-chromatic sensor
    - Xenon with auto-leveling feature
    - Skyhook electronic suspension

maybe something else that I'm forgetting now...
