Hello All, This showed up in today's Shanghai Daily. Thought you might be interested. F-1 Ticket Prices Hit Gas by Zhou Zuyi Organizers of Shanghai's Formula One Grand Prix plan to exploit both ends of the market for the 2005 season. Ticket prices for high-end seats will increase while more low-cost accommodations may be added. The priciest seats for a three-day package in the upper grandstands will rise to 3,980 yuan (US$490), up 280 yuan from the same deal during the inaugural Chinese Grand Prix in September. The other seats in the main grandstand will cost 3,580 yuan, compared with 3,300 last time around. There will be three price packages for the stands in other areas of the track: 2,880, 1,880 and 1,080 yuan. The previous range was between 1,060 and 2,100 yuan. And for 370 yuan, spectators can enjoy the speed show on the grass slopes around the track - the same price as last year. Single-day entry will be sold only for those areas next year. Organizers said they will probably expand the number of low-price admissions, but they did not specify a figure.
