Prancing 12, thank you very much..... so essentially today the 2005 F430 spider at the auction one would pay 140,000s But that seems high as on e bay and autotrader this is the same price 150s on avg.....? where is the dealer cost on a 2005 F430 spider?
There are so many factors to consider when looking at the Manheim numbers for Ferraris... For the most part, Manheim is completely irrelevant to wholesale Ferrari pricing because the VAST majority of cars trade through other channels. Really, there are only two examples that are relevant to your search... this should tell you something. Ironically, I would bet that the Spiders listed here were bid and bought by retail buyers looking for a deal through a dealer friend that was 'hooking them up', which skews the numbers. I posted the numbers because you asked for them, but really, they have absolutely no bearing on pricing. Everyone wants to know Manheim numbers to use as leverage when negotiating with a seller, but if you're dealing with a reputable Ferrari ( or exotic) seller, they'll laugh at you if you mention Manheim. (No offense )
hey, so what do u define as true wholesale for ferraris? just the price at which dealers are willing to buy cars from customers?
Prancing 12, Thank you once again for your insight..... What do you feel is the wholesale price for F430 spider 2005 with 5,000 miles? As you say....majority of cars trade through other channels....what channels specificaly? maybe i could search them?
whatever price you see on manhiem or ebay for a f430 spider minus 25k would be a real deal. 125k is my target today 100k in the spring
There are dozens of dealers and hundreds of buyers that would happily pay more than your target price. Good luck with that. I trust you'll post pics when you manage this deal?
Of course prices will go down.... but a 05 F430 Spider for 125k now? And then you want it to depreciate another 25k by Spring? At that rate I should be able to get it for 75k next fall? What does that make a 355 Spider worth, 10k? I mean come on, if we are going to have a serious discussion about pricing, great, but lets not go off the deep end here....
