I have seen several threads on battery swaps. Im fairly sure Im swapping from OEM to Optima R34 or interstate 91 series, both seem well endoresed. Based on what I read, I just need to let the car idle for 10 min with acc off post install for parmeter reset?

Any F430 owners willing to confirm the reset proceedure. I am aware the Optima takes some fiddling with the secure based on the unique size/package, but like the AMG construction.

AGM are great and they are light but total capacity is down so they are not great for very cold climates. Odyssey designed the Optima battery then sold the design because they didn't like the way that it performed in very high load/stress situations. Military is one of their largest customers and apparently it was too difficult to roll the tubes and maintain a consistent spacing so they were having field failures of the batteries.

At least that is what I heard from someone at Odyssey. I believe it is true because the story is too complex and specific to be a fabrication; too many details for a lie.
