Hello gentlemen, I'm currently working on a 2005 F430 spider with what I can only assume is an all-too familiar ABS issue? We have checked all ABS sensors, and they register properly when the vehicle is driven. Warning lamps we get are the usual ABS/ASR/ESC/Manitino Fault/E-Diff/Trans fault lamp/BRAKE warning lamp and suspension fault lamp. DTC's we have are: RIGHT Motronic P1602 ACTIVE U0122 missed LEFT Motronic P1611 ACTIVE U1122 ( No communication with vehicle dynamic control module: fault (signal). ABS - C1266 - Pump Motor ACTIVE Steering wheel system - U1602 CAN message reception fault - B status NFR - no signal Missed U1607 - NFR fault - B Status NFR - set fail bit - ECU fault ACTIVE U160A - NCD Fault - B Status NCD - set fail bit - ecu fault - missed Differential system - C2026 ASR message reception fault - signal timeout or out of range or invalid - missed. Immobilizer - 030 - serial line - PRESENT Suspension module - U1706 NO COMMUNICATION WITH NFR - ACTIVE U1712 NO COMMUNICATION WITH NAS - no symptom available. Missed. Instrument Cluster - B1005 Suspensions failure - active B100A Check engine failure - active B 100C Brake Failure - Active U1601 No CAN message from ESP ECU received - missed Semi Automatic Trans - Marelli P0600 - CAN error code - missed P0720 - Gearbox output revolutions - missed We sent the ABS module out to be repaired, because we have already seen the same symptoms with multiple ABS modules in 430's. we finally got the module back and installed it. Waited 20 before starting vehicle. drove it about 20 feet forward and these are the dtc's that popped up immediately: ABS - C1266 - PUMP MOTOR - ACTIVE Steering Wheel - U1607 - NFR fault - B Status NFR - set fail bit - ACTIVE Immobilizer - 030E - SERIAL line - PRESENT Suspension - U1706 - NO Communication with NFR - ACTIVE Instrument Cluster - B1005 - ACTIVE B100A - ACTIVE B100C - ACTIVE. Not really sure where to go with this now. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Seem like , if not the battery as mentioned above, it would be pointing to ABS pump motor - check that
Are these rebuildable? Can I source and ABS HCU somewhere without the module? Just kind of a shame to have this kind of problem on a car with less than 7700 miles.
Search on this forum ..I believe someone found something that can be modified Probably time ans maybe brake fluid not being charged could have been a factor ..just a guess
I saw someone else say something about a yaw sensor causing the problem, but not entirely sure if that theory applies to this scenario.
If the brake controller (NFR) isn't working properly, might this also cause a pump issue? None of the other nodes seem to want to talk to it. I see both the Yaw Sensor & Steering Angle Sensor are powered by the Brake ECU. If you haven't already checked/re-checked the three ABS fuses under the dash on the passenger side (near the hazard/turn relay), do so. Looking at the wiring diagram, I see there is also a key power relay under the dash for the ABS (see L359) in the graphic. Maybe that has failed? Check also the Maxi fuses near the battery. Fuses 6 & 8.
Since the Yaw Sensor is powered by the Brake ECU, perhaps a short in the Yaw Sensor is affecting power to the ABS unit. If you find blown fuses, disconnect the Yaw Sensor and try powering up the system.

You don’t sound confident. Did you specifically find the 2 (of 8) next to the battery and the 3 under the dash near the flasher relay as shown in the graphic? Any other relevant fuses (behind the seats) would have caused a lot more systems to fail. Did you use a meter to check these fuses?
I used fluke 88 meter to check all fuses indicated. All fuses check out good. The ones above and to the left of the battery were fun to get to.. . Used a smoke tester as well, connected to the cannister. There are NO visible leaks anywhere.
I suppose it could still be a faulty ABS ECU. It's either not getting all the power from the fuses due to wiring issues (causing both databus failures and pump failure) or some internal circuit is creating this. Why it needs 4 different sources of power, I don't know. And why it needs a unique relay for ignition power, I also don't know. The suspension ECU, instrument panel and steering wheel all think that ABS ECU Bus communications are broken. The ABS module talks to the other computers and OBD2 plug on two different data busses. CAN Bus B and CAN Bus C. CAN Bus B is the old type of databus (and the ABS ECU can talk to the Instrument Panel and the OBD2 port on this if CAN Bus C has failed). This may be why the Motor message can still get through to the OBD2 port. I suppose you could look for power at the ABS module on these pins: Live battery power... pins 2, 3 & 17. Red is for live battery power and yellow is for key power. In hindsight, I probably should have asked you to check power at the ABS ECU rather than at the fuses I wouldn't rule out the Yaw Module, either. Maybe it's causing ABS ECU internal power issues or Bus issues. Have you tried disconnecting it? (wherever it is).
