Open message to all, I am thinking about going to the US Grand Prix in Indy this year and staying for the FCA Annual Meet that follows. If I go, I will be driving my F348 up and participating in the full range of FCA activities including the Rallye on Monday, Concourse on Tuesday and the Coppa GT and Coppa Bella Machina on Wednesday and Thursday. Never having bitten off anything this big before, I am soliciting advice and guidance from any of you who may have done something like this before, or any of you who might be interested in doing the same thing. The logistics of the trip look reasonable; 900 miles, 12 hours driving each way; 10 days total time away, if you go for all of the F1 including practice; the biggest expense is the FCA entry fee, second is room and board. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. Thanks Mark
Talk with Brian, he did Cali last year, which I think was about 4k miles total. < 2k miles I don't think you need to worry about brakes or tires.
You get to drive your car on the oval (escorted by pace cars) and on part of the F1 course at speed. How can you pass that up!?
I would go if it was the full course at full speed. Should still be fun for those that do it, but I can't afford another week like Monterey without a great track offering.
