Don't sell it! There isn't anything that you can do with the money that will result in a greater return not only financially but FUNancially
Sell it, make your money, its just a car and a Ford to boot, lol At least someone drove it instead of putting it in a garage with 100 miles on it... Some rich kid on Lambosuk Power just paid 350K + for a heritage edition with 7 miles,lol...Imagine a 160K car with "special" Paint that Ford dealers could not get rid of because people thought the colors were ugly now commanding that price????? What are you guys smoking??... Oh well more money than??????? GLWS
Obviously you don't have a clue about these cars. Heritages are now above 400k and climbing....and it represents the last great driver super car that kicked Ferraris prissy ass to kingdom come. BTW just for your edification the Heritage editions have always held a premium and there were NO unsold ones at Ford EVER. But I guess facts just get in the way huh? Ford GTs will be the next F40's in the investment car world, book it. I sold my Scud to buy my FGT and never looked back. Now the 320k Scud is worth 180k and the 160k FGT is worth 320k. Guess the market has spoken on which is the better car.
I honestly think the car was priced to low intially. Back in 2003 I recall reading something along those lines in Car and Driver.
Keep drinking the kool-aid. A real GT-40 maybe but a tribute car,lol you got to be kidding me. I never said the Heritage sat unsold,I said they were tougher to get rid of. ALL 05-06 Ford GT are just tribute cars..Just because a bunch of rich people want to covet a painted replica car doesn't mean its worth the bloated prices people are paying for them. Too bad you sold your scud to buy a FGT now you can sit in it in your garage without turning a wheel and make vroom-vroom noises so you can keep its bloated value up,lol By the way if you paid 320K for a Regular GT your a bigger idiot than I thought, lol. Go back to your Ford GT site or L-Power and hang with the other nut-swingers there. The OPs car is nice so lets see what he gets for it,and yes I hope he gets ask....
I do too. I think the Ford name may have hurt initial sales until everyone knew how great these cars are.
Damn ... Name calling already ..... I remember a few years back, in the olden days Autweek would have Ford GTS listed at the 150 K mark week after week ...... Wishing I had that to spend on one. Here I am with my F355, just passed the 31 K on the speedo ..... And happy as a clam out of clamming season.
Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Ford...IMHO… I think the real desire is analog. As technology advances and we move further away from driver/shifter/pedal the emotional part of a sports car feels further away. I feel that the GT is a true sports car in any respect. I have a true passion for all the automotive greats and i feel this car is no exception. I watched this video recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liqoMjRT81A I had a huge grin from ear to ear. I feel blessed that i have been able to turn the keys on the cars i have owned over the years. I think the GT is one of those cars that truly looks as fast as it feels. my .02
Same here. A few years back while viper shopping there was a yellow/black at a local independent shop that sat for a year plus on the lot. It was listed somewhere for a bit north of 150. I seriously considered going for it. It was out of my budget, but I could have it made it happen if I wanted to stretch for it. I thought about it and decided to pass. All of a sudden the dealership raised the price to 210k or so and it was sold. The appreciation on these the past few years has been amazing. Good luck on the sale OP. Car looks awesome!
Let's try to remember we're gentlemen and keep the tone of our posts to that standard. Thanks! All the best, Andrew.
Glad the remarks got wiped (I think) since this is an enthusiast's site. Car enthusiasts. I had a Ford GT that had 32,000 miles on it. Drove it all over the place. Killed me that the FGT forum talked about 'how great of a driver's car' the FGT was/is, but they all seemed to have under 3k miles, heck, some under 1k. Hallelujah the OP's car was actually driven. They are highly drivable, fun cars. I got rid of mine bc the door design and the nonexistent trunk. That's all. The values are the values. Can't really call an entire and enduring clump of people's choices 'stupid'. Many other very non-stupid buyers eager to join them. The 'blip' has become a trend. The FGT is a superior car from a manufacturer that knows how to build a car to last, to fit, to work. I think they're art. Best wishes on the sale.
With a simple pulley and tune (and new tires), they are truly super cars. Really fun. Mine's not going anywhere.
I don't know how he post on the sale of the car turned into "it's better than a Scud" sounds like someone was just trying to stir the pot. Lead is other posts were deleted and he deserves a ban for the lack of respect and manners!!!
Thanks of the comments. Thank you for some very solid offers ( Love this forum ) Hope it ends up with a Fchatter.
