Good luck! Its beautiful without the stripe! Current FGT owner as well.. and never looked back, bought mine before they went up in value. 18k miles and still going strong
I have an interesting anecdote about low mileage Ford GTs. I was recently at a Ford Dealership in the Silicon Valley area, was buying parts for my humble 4 cylinder 2000 Ford Ranger. Was chatting with the service manager about Ford GTs, he told me in his experience at the Ford Dealership ( 10 years), he has NEVER seen a Ford GT driven into the dealership for service, ONLY delivered to the dealership on a flatbed, service done, back on the flat bed & delivered to the owner.
I bought mine new and have put 24,000 miles on it. I've been fortunate to have a lot of great cars, but this one truly stands out among them. No street car has ever given me the raw thrill the Ford GT does. Ok, It has a Whipple and cat back straight pipes, but that was a simple and reversible modification.
I have heard the rumors. I know a Ford dealer did a prototype that was pretty trick looking not long ago…I think it was Galpin.
The Ford GT is a special car. Everything came together with it, a unique time and place. Kind of like the F40, or the McLaren F1. It should be part of any well rounded super car collection. -F
Same goes here in middle east ,, I remember a 2006 FGT offered to me two years ago has less than 5k miles on it , for 180k and I was sure if I decided to buy the owner will be flexible to 165-170 ,, anyway bought a 2009 Gallardo Spyder instead and now when I decided to shop for a GT ,, Same dealer , Same car .. Raised price to 250k .. Its a great car and its a must to have
