For sale: 2005 Maserati Gran Sport with ~58k miles. This has been a fantastic car and only selling it to make room for a new toy. You can't buy a better sounding car for the money, and it drives great. It's a fast Italian muscle car with room for four adults. Purchased from @rob lay in February of 2020, he was the second owner and bought in 2008 with 15k miles. Still have the original window sticker. It has been serviced at Norwood Auto Italia and Boardwalk Maserati for the past 10+ years. There are many posts in F-Chat from Rob about this car over the years, plenty of history can be found. Some notable upgrades and service: 2010/2011: Formula Dynamics Drive by Wire installed (greatly improves clutch life) 2013: First clutch replaced @ 47k miles, only ~10k miles on new clutch so plenty of life left 2013: Formula Dynamics Skyhook Sport Spring Kit 2013: FD Stabilizer (Anti-Sway) Bars 2013: FD Veloce Corsa Wheels 2014: Larini exhaust (sounds awesome!) 2019: A/C Work, alternator replaced 2020: Full service, new tires. Tires have less than 4000 miles on them. 2021: Most recent annual service in Dec 2021/Jan 2022, O2 sensors replaced and installed fabspeed mini cat spacers 2022: November - Passed state inspection and A/C recharged The sound system has also been replaced/updated and has an alpine head unit with Bluetooth. The seats and headliner were reupholstered a few years ago and look great. List of known squawks: -A/C has very slow leak, freon just topped off at Boardwalk. Blows cold now. A/C system had major work done in ~2019. -A few small dings, nothing that couldn't be fixed with PDR -3/4 wheels have some curb rash -Electronic door locks don't operate, parts supposedly not available. Norwoods has indicated that there's possible work around solution if you wanted electronic door locks again, but the manual lock/unlock is easy to use. -P0431 check engine code (catalytic converter bank 2 warm up efficiency below threshold). I got this intermittently until I replaced the O2 sensors and had fabspeed mini cat spacers in Jan 2022, haven't had an issue since but thought it was worth noting. The car just passed state inspection 2 weeks ago. -The dash, door handles and handbrake cover look a bit dirty since they weren't replaced with the seats and headliner, which look like new More pictures coming soon. PM me for details, I'm posting for my son and will put you in touch. Car is located in the Dallas, TX area. This was the most amazing car! Only reason I sold to Jim as only a 2 car garage with the new Townhome. Great Italian looks and limited edition with room for 4 adults! i actually did that once when a Corvette broke down on the Crescent Classic and we took the couple back to Eureka Springs still driving the mountains hard! The 430 engine block with chains is a hoot, they finally got a torquey engine! Stock the car understeered and shifted slow, the drive by wire and suspension mods fixed that. The car is soft enough around town, but you can really get sporty. Very similar in nature to the GT3 I had. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I'll admit that question seems pretty random, but there's likely something I don't know? It hasn't been replaced since Feb of 2020, no idea prior to that. The heater works fine as of last night. I got to drive this car for a day at the Crescent Classic some years ago. Dryhole had his new F12, and had us both registered for the event, and then had to cancel because of a death in the family. Chris graciously allowed me to take over that registration, and attend the event. Rob was awesome and let me drive this car on the first day, and his 328 on the second day. I drove one of the photographers that first day, and he spent much of the day hanging out of the passenger side window shooting the cars as we drove the Pig Trail and other great driving roads around Eureka Springs Arkansas. This Gran Sport easily kept up with the modern Ferrari's, and was a joy to drive. The next day in the 328, without a navigator, I got separated from the pack, got semi- lost, and when I hit I-40 decided to head back to the barn, with a stop at the Crystal Bridges Museum on the way. It was a lot harder keeping up in the unfamiliar to me Ferrari, especially on the turns, and I admit I was passed by Chris's wife in her Dino, a shame I still live with today. Long winded story to say this is indeed a great car for the money, and will make the new owner quite happy.
I used to have a GranSport. It’s a true exotic car. They sound phenomenal and sooooo much car for the money. This one also has the Formula Dynamics drive by wire system installed and an exhaust which is a huge bonus. Glws. Scott
Only the LE had the trident on the C pillar. Standard Gransport and the MC Victory did not have them.
Weird. I have a non LE and it has the badges. Not on the options list either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heat core and cam variators prior to 2011. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/was-the-cam-variators-issue-ever-solved.486947/ These are fun cars when sorted and sound great.
Mine is a standard 2005 GS and doesn't have them. Seems to be some lovely Italian production line consistency. My research shows most 2005s had no tridents, but once the 90th anniversary cars started to come down the line, some had it added. 2006s were all over the place. https://www.************.com/threads/we-dont-need-no-stinkin-badges.3247/
Will be advertising this more broadly in the next few days, wanted to give FChat first look. Open to offers.
It was an option. I had a gs spider and absolutely loved it. Great drivers gar, and turned heads everywhere. Almost everyone has seen a ferrari , but no one knew about the master. Lovely piece of kit. If I was stateside I'd have already bought this one.
I took the car this morning to our Cavallinos and Caffeine event to see some Italian brethren. There really aren’t words to explain how fun this car is. Effortless power and glorious noise. At the risk of offending my 328, this car sounds MUCH better. I forgot to mention that the car also has the Big Brake kit that was added when the suspension and wheels were done. It stops good. It’s been suggested that we list it on BaT since it’s a specialty car, we may go that route. Until then, it’s available!
