This may have been posted at some point (old news) but i had to post... What a beatuiful car......... http://www.automobilemag.com/2007_sneak_preview/0504_bentley_flying_spur/
http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45659&highlight=flying+spur Looks like a Cont. GT & Phaeton mated. Not beautiful, IMO, but I've still got a thing for the Arnage T..
I could not agree more! I did have the opportunity (notice I did not say pleasure) of driving a cont. gt, and was very bored. Yes its got a great engine and decent interior, but compared to the previous Continental range and Arnage it is boring (far too Porsche-like). I think the Flying Spur looks very cheap! It looks like a kia or hundai from the side, not like a car you would pay almost 200k for. Plus these cheap mass produced Bentleys are everywhere and are dilluding the mystique and aura of Bentley (just like what the 914,24,44 cars did to Porsche.) Just like GM ruined Saab VW is destroying Bentley.
I disagree. Don't forget, the Flying Spur and Conti GT are the entry level cars. VW saw that there was a big void in the market and developed pretty good products to fill it. There are people that have 7 series BMWs and S class Benzs (even some that have LS430s) that want to "move up" but there was a pretty big jump to the next level. The Arnage was $200k+, Rolls even more. Both of these products were brilliant. Lets face it, there are more people that want a luxury four door than a sports car. The market potential is huge! There are brand purists out there that think the real Bentleys are the Arnage and the upcoming Azure replacement. But they need to recognize that Bentley has a cash cow in the Continental GT, just like Porsche has one in the chili pepper. More cash means more money for development of the flagship cars. That can't be a bad thing, can it?
I like it almost as much as the Arnage. Thats definitely a compliment since I too love the Arnage. Sunny
Im sure it's a great car, the front just looks economy car cheap to me. I don't know why,the grill? the lights? something screams cheap.
