I use Interstate in the 430 and 458. Weight savings isn't a concern of mine though.

I went with Interstate (MT7-34R) for my '07 F430 a couple of months ago and it's working fine so far.

While the Optima red top 34R is the oem battery for the 430 Scuderia....I would suggest not using it. The Optima red top has had a dismal record for the past several years. What is interesting, is the Optima yellow top is very highly rated by Consumer Reports...but alas, is not offered in a 34R version (reversed terminals). Definitely get an AGM....I would suggest considering the Sears AGM in 34R, it is manufactured by East Penn which has a very good reputation. Interstate sounds like a good option as well.

When the time comes, I will get something other than Optima, but the brackets from Ferrari are designed for it, so will require some modification or replacement brackets.

I heard that about Optima over 10 years ago, and experienced issues with the red top first hand. You mean they still haven't gotten their act together yet?

AC Delco is fine as long you put in AGM type battery.
