It was great seeing you again! Please do come over as you and your family are always welcome!
Spectacular pictures. 002C and 0846 look right at home, and 76145 looks to be a special car indeed, with a history all its own.
I hope Jan remembered to pick up that wrench on top of the motor before he put the bonnet back on 0536MD!!!!! beautiful cars, gentlemen; I only wish there was audio with this
http://sfaroc.tripod.com/archives/id37.html nice personal site on some targa florio adventures. also a picture of a mural depicting 0846 being driven by nino vaccarella.
Great meeting you too Boudewijn, Well keep in tough. I had a marvelous time driving the Targa, the Siracusa circuit, the climb to the Etna and of course the chat with Gerard Larousse, Gijs van Lennep and Nanni Galli. Hey Dr. Dumb A-S-S. You coming to Monterrey? Don't give me this crap about being too busy making money. There are priorities and then there are priorities. Dale
What an amazing experience! Great pics too. Thank you all for sharing!!! By the way this gets my vote as Thread of the Month!!
Hi He's surfing with his girlfriend but as soon as he get's back I'm sure he will. The resto Sal supervised is amazing. It's a new car. We all drove her over, 4K miles in two weeks. She ran flawlessly and is a GREAT driver. We took her on the track and she was great there as well. ZERO problems and Jesse drove really well and safetly. That one (like Spice) is a KEEPER. Best
I fought tooth and nail for this original photo. I can only imagine what it felt like retracing Nino's tracks. Enjoy.!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Paul It was the greatest drive I've ever had. My daughter and I were alone on that road for over 30 minutes. When we reached the towns we were mobbed. There were tears in all of our eyes...
Another very funny thing. When we received the cars in Sal's town the Italian customs doc listed 0846's licence plate as "MO 53".
I bet that sounded fantastic. The roar of 0846 bouncing off the stone walls as you entered the old towns, and the ticking and cracking of the exhaust on cool down as the smell of oil and fuel wafts through the vents.....it would make me cry
i think you guys will know to appreciate this thread: http://www.*************/PitLane?viewThread=y&gID=2&fID=0&tID=91410
Relevant to nothing, but I just realized that the model P4 I have in my office matches Jims car. I never knew that the 224 numbered car was 0846. My little piece of history. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Jimpo I have a 1:43 diorama of the same car, even has the road signs, stone walls, and hay bales... I suppose it is "just before......" Yellow arrow signs read: 13 Piano Zucchi 22 Piano Battaglia Also there is a big blue one with arrows in a diagram and some more stuff.... And the poor car is REALLY dirty! Great pics Mr. G...thanks!
