Evan, is Rand Workman going to host another NYC auction this year?

 

Unfortunatley I don't beleive it will be be put together again. The expense of the Pier is out of control as well as the unions to set the space. The Luxury Expo where the companies exhibited was great. They made all there money on that to cover for the whole space and expenses like advertising etc. Although what really was the bad part was the cars weren't selling so well. The amount of real buyers were weak. The cars were amazing though. We had a lot of close offers like on the 1938 Maybach and that Hemi Cuda which had a high bid of 4.1 million which is a lot for a car like that. Also everyone's reserves were not realistic and owners acted like it was a car show instead of a sale. But who knows one day we will see another auction. Its extremely hard to do something like this in NYC and has been done once before and that was a complete failure.

 

Veyron run sometime this month.....I'll keep everyone updated. Also Vik can you give me a call?

May 3-4 FCA Empire Region track event at Watkins Glen

May 27-30 Festival of Speed and Design -- Pocono Manor and Pocono Raceway (Concours on 5/28, Track days 5/29 and 30). FCA Penn-Jersey Region is co-sponsor. In conjunction with Lambo, Mazerati and Corvette clubs.

June 24-26 Le Belle Machina - FCA Track days at Pocono Raceway

July 21-22 FCA Empire Region track event at Lime Rock (unmuffled event -- very unusual for LRP)

Sept. 1-3 FCA Empire Region track event at Watkins Glen

Oct. 4 FCA Empire Region track event with Classic Coach at Pocono Raceway

 

Do I hear a big pool party coming also....my house let's pick a date?

For a pool party, you are probably going to want hotter weather so July would be best. POOL PARTY 2006!!!! Last year was a ton of fun!

 

any word on when the WWoC tech day is gonna be this year?

 

I think they are having it a different weekend so it doesn't interfere with the Scarsdale Concours.
