Hi Andreas, I know this is way early to think about this, but I had a few moments the other day and put together this picture which I would like to submit for the calendar. If I have a choice, July would be the month. Anyway, the cars and myself were a real photo, and then I did a bit of compositing. I can send you the hi-res. Each year the calendar gets better, maybe this year we can step it up even a few more notches and have glossy, thick stock paper? It would be worth it to pay more for it. Thanks! That's not a contour, that's his hard rocker hair! LOL Sean, really cool shot and thanks for the comments. You're actually not the first to submit a pic for the 2007 calendar. Bill B. beat you to the finish line with his gorgeous Daytona Spyder. Your comment about the paper quality is noted. If the printer doesn't go belly up over the year (like his predecessors did), we will have that option. My only criticism about your pic is about the chrome horsey at the bottom. I don't think that belongs there (I believe your tach has a white horse). Otherwise a great composite. I like the idea of having a non standard pic, especially when it also shows a couple cars, one being a 12 and its owner.
Yes, that's my pony tail, I guess if you didn't know I was one of the long haired, freaky people, it would look like an incomplete retouch job on the countour/edges. I own a business dealing with movie studios, so I'm all business all day, and then am a musician at night. I guess the pony tail does look a little odd in that picture. I'll take it out! As for the Cavallino, there is not a white one in the tach in this picture, do you mean for real in my cars? I agree though, it kind of takes away the balance of the composition, so it'll go too. Andreas, I'll send you the modified final.
Like a 'Fast Cars, Fast Guitars' theme? I could add some musical elements in the background. I'm not going to retake the photo with a guitar in my hand though...
Sean, Just photoshop a guitar into your hands. I am pretty sure it is possible to make it look realistic...... ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login
LOL! Great job! I'll keep you in mind as somebody good at Photoshop. Once in a while I need something "fixed"... With your talent you should join the great 0846/Yeti/Earnhart debate.
