It was not a Ferrari that had the issue, but guess what my car seems to do it too. It may have been happening a while since my car is so loud and my hearing so bad, but I was listening for it yesterday and it is there. My car is also a 07, and since now that I know it is there I am going to have to figure it out. I do have front and rear sensors, but it not the same type of sound that they make. At first I thought it was the aftermarket F1 relay but the sound is coming from the dash

I would disconnect the car use master cut off and let sit for a few. It will reset everything ..... see if that works and go from there. It won’t hurt.

I got into my car after listening to your sound clip and it sounds just like my reverse beep. Do you have bumper sensors? Try checking the plug if you do. As someone said earlier it sounds like the car thinks it's in reverse.

Is this beeping occurring only with F1 cars?

Interesting, still, so far no one has chimed in on how to resolve this issue....
I feel for you guys as I understand how annoying this can be.

As a last resort, if Ferrari dealership is asking way too much money to have the instrument cluster replaced & its not even a sure fix - you can always remove the instrument panel cluster, locate the speaker and remove power or ground to the beep speaker. I dont think that beep speaker provides much value to drive-ability of the car.

I just cut the battery off. There should be a main cut off in the trunk

    Dan,
See http://ferrarioc.com/?page_id=15 - Rod will repair the cluster wherever possible. He is aware of the various failure modes.

2007 F430 beeping - I am having the same problem. Driving the other day and turned down the radio to hear this beeping as others have described. Sounds like a heart rate monitor. It continues once I park and after I shut the car off for a period of time. The sound is coming from the instrument panel area or steering wheel post. Not the same as parking sensor beep.

Did anyone ever come up with a solution as to what is creating this noise? Nothing lit up on the dash.

    Thanks,

    Debbie

Contact Rod in the link above. He fixed mine that had the exact same issue described. You'll need to pull the cluster and ship it, but you're looking at a repair of less than $1k, which is a bargain. Of course it's depending on what he finds in wrong with the cluster.

mpatrizio, thank you. What was the problem exactly and is it an issue that will harm the car or just an annoyance?

IIRC the panels use a flourscent element for illumination.of the dials

    That requires AC current.

I believe there may be an inverter as part of the panel to yield the AC current which could be degrading or vibrating out of spec that may be causing that sound.

This could be what the folks in SoCal (referred in this thread) are fixing.

_Jerry_ no it sounds like a faint heart rate monitor you would hear at a hospital. I will try and upload a file later tonight.

It's beyond annoying and really made the car unbearable. Not undriveable, but totally unbearable. Imagine the beeping you get when engaging reverse, only it's a bit quieter. I would turn up the radio to cover it, but my goodness it was annoying.

Add the anxiety that its a big dollar repair to the mix, and it wasn't pleasant. Part of why I was so happy with the cluster repair cost. I'm a big fan of FerrariOC's work.

They said it was a bad capacitor, but each cluster is a bit different. They also said it's more common than people might think. He said they had 3 other clusters on the bench for the same issue, when I called him.

    All....
    Any update on this.
I think it is the micro switches in the door locks telling your car the doors are open when they are in fact closed.
I isolated the power and then restarted the car and left it to idle for 15 minutes while it re-set.
The beeping stopped - but returned the next day.
This is like chasing a ghost.

See post #34, 37 and 40. At the minimum, I would call the repair facility and ask them if they believe your diagnostic steps would leave them to believe it is your cluster or not.
