2007 F430 spider top woes

Hello everybody.

Woe is me. My 2007 430 spidr has been in the shop for 8 out of the last 10 months. The folding top is all screwed up, and now that they FINALLY have the parts, it just doesn't seem to work right (their words).
We are waiting for a guy to come from the factory in Italy who will instruct the local dealer on how to get it right. (I'm in China). They say my car is the first in China where they have had to change the fabric on the top (twice now...) and they need advice.

My question: has anybody else had major problems with the fabric roof and do they EVER get resolved, or am I doomed to just visiting my car in the shop a couple of times a year?

 

top design is fine. you just need an experienced tech to work on it. try shipping it to a different dealer or have it transported to HK if the factory tech doesnt come through.
