John: I'm not doubting Dario's ability to drive or what he can and can't do with the car. Nor was I expecting to see him run fast laps around the tracks. I seen all the stuff that he was doing with the cars, showing the owners the cool features a ferrari has and when and how they should be used. Like I said I knew that I was gonna get alot of raised eye brows for posting my opinion!! I guess let me re-phrase my opinion, I was just more impressed with Eric Van De Poole's performance at past FQC events. I think you guys put on a great event every year, and I can't wait til next year!!!Keep up the good work.
Eric is a great friend, and the things he does with the cars are utterly spectacular. He is an utter madman!!!! But Robby, think, you are a talented driver and have a talented eye and can figure this one out. The difference you saw was that Eric indulged in a higher tollerance for risk than Dario with the owner's cars. Being on the short end of that stick a few years back, that can be a virtue for the owner, if not the participant! To be fair to Eric, he always communicated with the owner and asked the owner how far he could push the envelope, and many owner's gladley told him to give it, but Dario spoke no English, and thus in the absence of communication and permission was properly and purposefluly contrained.
Italians are naturally polite, that way......IMO. Sorry we missed this year's event, will start tuning the fleet for next year!!!!!!
