I take it this event is for FQC entrants only? I know someone that races one of the most winning Challenge cars in history. :)

There is no schedule available to public. I'm not talking about the track day, but the race. My assumption is FQC entrants only. I'm not entering the event, but asking if they're making it a true race and open to all cars that qualify?

    Rob,
Let us know what you find, the registration form seemed to imply that you could do just the track events. I'm planning to take my car and I think Wes is taking his 348C. What about Colin?
We may be heavily outgunned by the 430's and 360's, but it should be great fun.
    Hope to see you there.

I haven't heard back from Charlie yet. I will let you know.

I can't invest too much in this weekend with Crescent Tour and Runoffs on the schedule, but I could maybe come down for P/Q/R if entry OK.

    Dear Scuderia:

You may enter the Grand Prix alone. The Grand Prix of Louisiana will be open to all past and present Ferrari Challenge cars. The cars will be broken into classes, 348, 355, 360 and 430. If your car is heavily modified, you may be moved up in class.

The race will be a televised event by Cox Cable and the Travel Channel. There will be grand stands with thousands of spectators, a ferris wheel, hot air ballons, and a VIP drivers lounge. The best part is that all proceeds will go to Make A Wish Foundation.

Just a few safety enhancements, and a little weight loss program. Maybe I'll ballast up on Cajun food before the race. Do you happen to know what the minimum weight was for the 355 Challenge series? With or w/o driver?

Actually I haven't really done that much yet; I'm dying to upgrade the motor, shed some more weight and add downforce, but so far I haven't accomplished a whole lot. There just aren't a lot of bolt-on improvements out there for these cars.

I hope that the superbad Florida 355 will be there to inspire me to take the next step.

Look forward to seeing you there.
