Man, I wish someone would offer as much as $5k cash. I actually had a guy contact me, claiming to be Peter Buffett (Warren Buffett's son), saying he wanted to buy the car. I mean, when in Omaha... The car really isn't bad on the street at all. You won't mistake it for a Rolls-Royce Phantom, but it has full interior, radio, a/c, etc. Exhaust is somewhat loud, but that's to be expected. Clutch is easy, steering is easy, gearbox is lovely.
Well... since you wished... I'll give you $5k cash!!! and.... yes, and.... for a limited time, I'll also throw in a 2004 BMW X5! Now wait.... You say this can't be true. It is. And for a limited time, and I do mean limited, I'll also include some other crap. Just let me know..... ;-)
Yep, you can get most parts.....but, even if you GET the parts, you still have to get someone to do the work......engine is pretty straight forward. However, body, electric, suspension, etc, etc, is something that requires someone with some skill if/when you do get the parts. For example......from the windshield description - "Slight modification to body is required for antenna button clearance." This isn't something I would want done by the Safelite guy in the van.....
That was a quick Google example. My point was, the parts are out there. Heck, other than the turbos, the entire drivetrain is Ford and Getrag. TurboHoses in California is a great resource for these cars. Replacement parts are easily found, and any competent mechanic can do the work on them.
I suppose I can bump this again. $50k. That is bottom dollar, the owner will keep the car at this point if he cannot get 50 out of it.
That it has. But, the car sold at a good price for both the buyer and seller. The buyer is very happy with the car, so I'm just glad it all worked out. I knew it'd be a tricky sale when I took it on, just didn't know it would be that tricky.
