I don't understand a car that has completely useless back seats... the 997 cabrio's should get the same back seat room as the coupe or delete them altogether... Just MHO.
Nice car, but it still looks 10 years old (996,911) except it has some nicer wheels and a different rear vent. Is that a good thing or bad thing?
I agree. Not sure about all the different vents, either. Looks cluttered, and the spoiler looks ridiculous now. Is that the only way to keep the rear wheels stuck to the road? Porsche hasn't made a great-looking softtop since the 550 Spyder and the 356 series. The new Boxster is a nice enough convertible. Porsche should leave it at that.
Aston Martin V8 Volante. Sinfully gorgeous, and you don't have to explain that "it's not a Boxster, really!"
I never like the modern water-cooled Carbrios...their rears just look off to me. Too much bulk. Sad when the Boxster has better lines.
The last good looking 911 Cab was the 993 series. 996/997 911 Cab's just dont look right, but I think we are spoiled with the Boxster design looking so perfect.
As you can tell from my avatar, Aston is my first love/passion. I should have been clearer in my previous post...I doubt that the Aston is faster than the Porsche stock to stock, and I am quite sure that once the mods are fitted to the 997tt, you will have the fastest cab on the road next to an F50! Having said that, you are correct...the Aston is a much more beautiful car. The only problem I have had with the more recent Volante designs, especially the Cabs, is having to explain that "it's not a Jaguar, really!!!"
