Does a carbon fiber air box change the sound? Love the looks, but heard different things. Any advice?

Didn't change the sound of mine. I'm sure you know all about the vacuum lines.

The MaCarbon and Ferrari branded ones have the air horns. All other, AFAIK, do not.

Removing the vacuum hoses from the exhaust bypass vavles will decrease low end torque, cause reverberation in the cabin and make the ride a loud, fatiguing and obnoxious one by introducing a noise that was never intended to be there at low RPM by the designers of this car.

Really, and you have personal knowledge of your statement? I missed what model Ferrari you own when I clicked on your profile. I can tell you from experience that none of what you just said has happened of either of my 430's, one being a coupe and the other my current spider.

Yes, I have personal knowledge of that statement.

You have a problem with that?

I removed my hoses, noticed no loss of torque, no cabin reverberations and love the sound and the fact that my pipes don't drip black stuff all over the paint any more.

Is the Ricambi the Ferrari OEM one? I see that that the Ricambi ones are actually cheaper than the MaCarbon ones ($1475 vs $1750). Ricambi probably also has them in stock.

Well I haven't dyno'd it with and without the vacuum lines but they are there for a reason and open at certain RPM for a reason. The engine is tuned to expect a certain amount of backpressure at low RPM and when this is removed drivability is impaired. At least that's how I perceive it. First drive it with the vacuum lines diconnected then, back to back, reconnect the lines and see if you don't agree with me on this.
