They probably wanted you in the $60's Car market tightens, their reserves constrict. I love these things, they looked far ahead of their times at first release.
Always been curious but how different is the V8 from the V10 driving wise. I’ve driven the 10 but never the 8. Something really appealing to me about the V8 for some reason.
Still here....... 85 is soft........ still only 16k miles........ (and no subframe issues!........(in before the inevitable)..... @Shorn355.....still have those balls in the air?
Might be interested in this…I’m up the road just north of the border in White Rock area too. Can you PM me with additional pics, etc? Thanks! -Erik
mmmmkaaay........next car is arriving at dealer.....they won't hold it for long............ Ask is now very soft.........hit me up! Did I say this is a wonderful car? I hope this particular car does not just go to someone with no R8 enthusiasm.....a lot of history (esp PNW); first car in Seattle, etc, etc. It's a 6-speed! A manual!! How many early cars were not R-Tronic's? Cuneo? Scott? Muffin-Tops? Eric? Beuller? Beuller? Anyone?
Hi James - I can't believe your car has not sold - The "balls in the air" unfortunately may end up with a few dropping or at least juggling - Job situation could go one of two ways in January - neither is catastrophic but not a great time to be adding baubles to the stable - Thanks for the PMs and your patience - I really wish I was in a position - it is beautiful and a very reasonable price - Hang in there - Cheers
One of my co-workers is in the market for one. I'm meeting him up for steak this Friday so sent him your post. Can you share your thoughts please on some recent comps? If you believe this is not in good taste with your ad then let me know & I'll delete this. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2009-audi-r8-40 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2009-audi-r8-39
No problem with your links. My car is certainly the equal of either car. Mine is an '08, so early that I could not get the carbon engine compartment bits (ordered but not shipped), and on the other the Tuscan Brown interior was simply a buyers choice (poo-pooed by many early on; looks just fine to me). Pricing on both is 'in the ballpark' IMHO. Who knows ultimate/accurate pricing, in an auction? So, yes, I would put mine up against either of those! Thanks Andrew.
I’d love to have yours, but the two current restos are taking my time, space and funds. is their someone near you you can consign it with?
I have this cars twin. I am the second owner but bought in in 2010 from someone in the PNW oddly enough. Same miles (just about). Same options! LOVE IT! It’s our ‘date night’ car. Not sure I’ll ever get rid of it! I did have the mag ride shock issue so I put the KWs on (they have the sensor plug so no cel). My AC died (Florida) so new compressor yaddah yaddah. Cheers to the new owner! Congrats! You’ll love it!
