The 2008 East Coast Annual Ferrari Meet at Le Belle Macchine d'Italia - The Largest 3 Day Italian Motoring Event in North America will take place from June 20 - 23 in association with the Northeastern Regions of the Ferrari Club of America and the Regional Ferrari Dealers.

This is the only Ferrari Club event at Pocono Raceway this year that will feature 2 days of track.

There is also the Celebration of Speed and Design that takes place at Pocono Manor on Memorial Day weekend of which FCA Penn-Jersey is one of the sponsoring clubs. Sunday there is a concours/car show on the field at Pocono Manor, and Monday (Memorial Day) and Tuesday are track days at Pocono Raceway on the long course. Dates this year are May 24 to 27. I've done that event the last couple of years, and it is a lot of fun. The nice part, for me anyway, is that I can run my Corvette at Speed and Design, which is much better suited for the high speeds on the long course at Pocono rather than my 308. At Le Bella, they won't let me run the Vette, even though they are doing the long course. I'm planning on doing Speed and Design, but giving Le Bella serious consideration also.

Please note that Celebration of Speed & Design is only 1 day of track as opposed to 2 days at Le Belle Macchine d'Italia, which is sponsored by not just Penn Jersey, but Empire State and Ohio Chapter of FCA as well.

Also Le Belle Macchine will accept non-Italian cars depending on the type of car. If you think about it do you really want to drive your Ferrari on the track with a 20 year old in a Mustang or Camaro?

I'd go if they let me take my Elise, seeing as it's my only track-worthy car.

    What do you think?

We will accept an Elise as long as it passes tech inspection.
