At least in 08, there's no conflict with Le Mans - it's the weekend between Canada and France. At this point I can't get terribly excited about paying the high cost of F1 tickets, inflated hotel rooms and being restricted to areas on the circuit. Perhaps I have been spoiled by the FIA-GT 24 hour race at Spa this past weekend and the LeMans Series race at Monza in April. Our entry ticket with paddock access this weekend was a whopping 60€ per person and 8€ per day parking. Only restriction at Spa was the sponsor, etc. private areas above the older sports car pits and new F1 pits. The LMS package was about 150€ plus pit walk at 25€ - included weekend ticket, VIP parking, lunch Saturday and Sunday, etc. The seats we were sitting in for awhile at Ascari had a price of some 265+€ for the F1 race. I just checked rooms at the Sheraton in Montreal in the event of a change of mind and the only one with availability was where we stayed a couple times in Laval - 199 CAD per night.

We have a room at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal for the Montreal, and a flight at 5:45 back home. When does the race end? How long will it take me to get back to hotel for my bags? Should I try to bring my bags to the race, etc.?

    Thanks,

    John
