American buyers are responsible for figuring out how to import it, I can help from my end however I can. Overall the car presents very well for the mileage. It was tended to with great care and it shows. There are a few small rock chips that have been touched up but nothing noticeable unless you're up close looking for them. Tires are in good shape but they're aged out (2017s) so I will be replacing them for the next custodian and will replace the TPMS at that time as they're dead currently.
Thanks for the compliments guys. The roll bar is 100% factory, it is on the build sheet. The only modifications I'm aware of are the carbon shields, GTO gas lid and GTO cavallino on the rear. These items are not on the build sheet, but may be covered under the option code that mentions something to the effect of special requests.
mentionned on post #1 : 157503 ( which is not an assembly number but a chassis one) full VIN = ZFFFD60J000157503
Based on my research it would need a considerable amount. Also i am unfamiliar with it but if I remember correctly there was a safety item like some sort of crash structure some 599s need for importation that some markets didn't get that are so cost prohibative that it doesn't make sense. I am saying this from memory of old research. Please confirm this on your own before deciding not to buy it. The car looks awesome.
Canada specs/reqs are actually a bit tighter than US so no mods should need to be made. I bought my car out of Toronto, different side of the county, but perhaps the same requirements as Ontario. My car is a '98 and I had to make no modifications. Getting the paperwork from Ferrari NA is a PITA and that was 9 years ago. Can't imagine Ferrari has become more helpful.
A Canadian Ferrari going to the US is relatively easy. This is a Japanese market (Same as Euro Spec) car...and therefore will require a Registered Importer to bring it into the US. https://jktechnologies.net/ These guys have done all kinds of late models. If you're interested in bringing this car to the US, give them a call. I'm sure they have done a 599 by now.
