I've had my F430 for two years now and would like to move on to something different. Here are some details on the car. 2008 F430 Spider F1 Transmission Clutch reading 51% worn on recent snap 29,344 miles Ceramic coated Agency Power headers & S-Line stainless exhaust (sounds incredible) OEM Mark 2 headers (less than 2000 miles and smoke tested) & factory exhaust in box Rossa Corsa over tan Daytona seats with black inserts Black carpet OEM Carbon Challenge grill Carbon Ceramic brakes with nearly new ceramic pads. 80% life Parking sensors front and rear OEM carbon throughout the interior Hi-Fi stereo option with Ipod connect All books and manuals including the build book with pictures of the build 2 keys and radio/alarm key card I'm the second owner Most service records I purchased the car two years ago in May in Anaheim Hills, CA. It was sold new to the first owner via Newport Beach Ferrari and most all service was done there. I have photo copies of the service records that the dealer was kind enough to make for me. A PPI was done at the time I purchased the car by RMT Motorsports and was given a clean bill of health @ 25,400 miles. At this time the tech noted and made aware to me some flaws which the car has. This is what I was made aware of. There is some dash shrinkage around the defrost vents. Not extreme but noticeable if you look. The front bumper has been resprayed along with the passenger rocker panel. The paint shows very well and the color match is very good. There are some minor rock chips that I have fixed using the Dr. Colorchip system and are almost undetectable. Pictures don't pic them up. There was slight play exhibited by a ball joint and tie rod end. These weren't such that I needed to replace but rather to make me aware. Drivers side window doesn't seat tightly against the rubber seal in the corner. The convertible top framework has a small piece broken. This has no effect on the function of the top, but from a cosmetic standpoint it is visible when the top is up and you are inside the car. This piece is about 4" long. I will enclose a pic. At the time of the PPI I had the car lowered to Euro ride height and realigned. All fluids were done at this time and I shipped the car home to Minnesota. The paint has been detailed recently and there are no swirls. It really shows very well. The canvas convertible top is in good condition with the normal creases. The top functions as intended, both up and down. The seats are in good condition and all power options work. Small blemish on the carpet just under the stereo. Currently there is an aftermarket exhaust system in place and it sounds amazing! The stock exhaust will accompany the car as well. There is no smoke or oil drips or anything of that sort. Being located in northern Minnesota makes having a car like this difficult as we have no dealer in Minnesota at all and only a couple independents that service Ferrari. I knew that the common question when selling this car would be the clutch life. I had the car in Minneapolis earlier this spring and had a clutch snap done and wear shows at 51%. I am not opposed to having a PPI done but I would ask for a deposit as it's over 4 hours one way for me to haul the car. This is a really nice car overall in desirable colors and options. Asking $107k. Possible trade + cash for Porsche 996 Turbo manual. Sorry to hear your selling man.... figured we might be the only two owners at this latitude and meridian. I can relate to the desire for something more all year round like a 996 turbo. I just got a '11 Cayenne Turbo for that reason and kept the 360. GLWS! Great looking spider.
Beautiful car you have there Steve. If I was ready to buy I would most likely be making you an offer. But I have to sell my 2015 BMW M4 first, then save up a little more money for a bigger downpayment as I dont want to pull money out of my 401K. Good luck with the sale! Dan
Thanks, Blade! You may be right about us being the only owners up here. The bigger problem is lack of support for the car. At least with Porsche I have a really good independent shop I can count on.
Sorry folks I already purchased his car last week. I am flying there in 2 weeks to see the car in person, complete the sale and have the car picked up & shipped here to my home in Everett, Wa. Dan
I have tried on two attempts to contact seller gandalfthegray, but although it looks like my message was sent I have had no reply. I am also in Minnesota, and am very interested in this 430. I am hopeful that this message will be received in the public forum, and I'll get a reply. My phone number is 651 699 1592, and email is [email protected]. I am hoping to out bid whatheheck. S Hubbard
Sorry guys, I hadn't logged on for a few days. Life has been very busy here now that summers here. I wanted to say that Dan (whatheheck) had contacted me a couple weeks back and asked to send a deposit on the car to hold while he got his finances and shipping and such in order. If the sale with Dan doesn't go through I would be happy to talk with others about the car. But for now there is a pending sale. Thanks for all the interest and offers and I apologize for not checking my thread sooner! I will keep everyone's contact info. Steve
Hey Dan. Looks like my messages aren't getting through. I checked my "sent" file, and there is nothing there either. Very Odd. Anyway, Congratulations on the buy! If you are flying into the city (saint Paul) to pick up the car I'd love to have a look (I think Steve is about two driving hours away from the city) I'd even drive up there perhaps if you aren't driving back through the city. I'm drooling! Here is my phone and email: 651.699.1592, and [email protected] Steve Hubbard
