    Hi Guys,

    Last I heard the 2008 Ferrari French Quarter Classic was probably not going to happen in 2008, but there was still a glimmer of hope. Since nothing has been posted here about 2008 I'm assuming it's off.

    Anyone know any different?

    I just checked the website..."The 2008 French Quarter Classic has been postponed. A new date has yet to be decided, but we plan to resume production of the French Quarter Classic in 2009. More information will be posted here as it becomes available."

    From what I understand, but have not been told directly, John and Franco took a pretty big financial bath last year because the numbers were down.

    The 2004 event was a truely magical one, for Lady Valeria and I..little Zupra ad the kart..Jim G., Roland..met Paul W. and the whole local crew and Dr. Who there.......

    Here's hoping to a revival of that spirit!

    I tried so hard to make last year's event but fate would not allow it. I'll look forward to supporting whatever they can come up with.

    Yeah- i know. just making a joke.

    Maybe the Nunez Club should organize an event. About the same number of active members in the area.

    Gentleman:

    The FQC will resume in 09. Franco and I did take a large hit last event. We need to take soem time for our respective buisnesses, so we need to take time to regroup. Rest assured the 09 event will be a renewal of the small boutique event like it was the first few years. We already have commitment from special guests, sponsors and venues. We will keep you all posted as it develops.

    For you guys looking for an event, Cruising the coast is set for the week of October 5th here in Gulfport/Biloxi. If you are wanting a Ferrari event the 3x8 (and others) event is in Tunica Ocatober9-12. Here's a link. Joe
