This is a forum and I can comment. You just dont like what your hearing because its the truth. If my car has a sky-high price you will NEVER own a nice scud let alone any scud, lol

If you can buy a Scud for less than what is being offered for sale, you should buy it. What intensive someone will have to deal with a buyer like you Vs. a dealer who is a ready buyer?

You have cash? You are cash buyer? That does not matter to a seller who has his toys paid or to the seller who owes $$$. I think if you built a relationship with few of the guys here, you might get a connection. I don't agree with your comment "sky-high" list price and kicking someone off because he does not care to wholesale his Scud to you... Good luck on your search friend.

If you can't then feel free to buy that (non-existing) scud from the dealer!

Many SCuds that sit for months unsold. This is not a limited production run in the terms that demand outstrips supply. Ferrari produced thousands of Scuds and enjoyed those profits.

Many of the Scuds you refer to in auto trader are stale listings.....some are sold but sellers do not subsequently remove the listings.

The Scud market is beginning to pass you by. The best cars are now back over $200k.

You'd know about bullying people into believing a price.

And it's Rob Lay's thread not yours :)

Really? Looking at autotrader.com that car looks very well priced assuming it is clean. In fact it is the cheapest car under 5k miles on autotrader.com. On top of that it is a great color combo. If you really want a scud don't and like that car I would not mis It over a few K$ if I were you. Especially given the price trend of these cars recently (Not just scuds).

Regarding buying from a dealer and assuming you do a PPI and you are dealing with someone with good refs not sure that you gain enough to pass up a good car.

    Here is the autotrader.com search:

Fellas, It has been amusing following this thread. This guy was similar on the phone with me but only a more expanded version. He called me on my 2009 Red 4,400 mile Scud that was posted here a month ago with the same off base beliefs. This is a fact Allen. My car you said wouldn't sell for $180k sold last week for $195K. Other facts; I turned down three offers, one from a broker for $188K and two different dealerships, the best offer of $192K. Final fact, I held out for the $$$ I wanted for my car and got it and may have left a few $$ on the table. Just because you are hoping for better deal on a 430 Scud doesn't mean you'll get it. If you want to own one of these cars open your wallet... and quickly.

Truly amusing thread. I was considering putting my scud up for sale.
2009 rosso scuderia with 15k. Black leather interior with red stitching. Was hoping to ask fchat members what they think I should sell at? No need to rush the sale so time is on my side. Just don't use it as often as I should. Since I've owned it, I've only put 2500 miles on it. Always serviced at Ferrari Fort Lauderdale. Looking for some opinions from knowledgeable members. Thanks in advance.

lol. . . thats great to hear of what his real price range is. . In my experience of shopping for a scud - 09's with between 3-7k miles on the clock are hovering between 180-200k (with one outlier) depending upon private/dealer etc. There are some asking above and certainly transactions will happen a bit below that or around that. 08's are obviously (though not realistically why) at a slight discount of somewhere between 10-20K below the 09's. There has definitely been a slight shift up in value in the last 6 months - and even within that window, just in the last 45 days it seems to have shifted up about 10k when about 6 scuds left the table in December and January.

Actually, you contacted me. You had decided to flip your Scud after only two months of ownership (which is concerning to me). I said that wholesale was not even $180,000 despite it being a '09 with low miles. I said I was willing to pay more than wholesale (which, as you may recall is the WHOLE point of my thread). You said "wholesale is $195,000 I have many dealer friends who have already offered me wholesale of $195,000 and I turned them down".

To the above I kindly informed you "that was more than I was willing to pay", I added that "$195,000 sounded to me like a HIGH retail sales price and suggested that you might consider taking such an offer if it wasn't too late." It sounds like you took my advice and took that offer.

I've been offered a 14,000 mile '09 for $180,000 but the miles were too high (for me) and I didn't care for the ECU modifications done to the car (an FChatter no less). That's right, I turned down a no-accident well maintained 2009 offered to me at $180,000.

So, we're back to the same place. There is a REAL wholesale, private party and dealer retail price on every Scud. Just because I haven't found the "right" car (in only a few weeks of beginning my search) priced at what I feel is a reasonable doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I think what Allan fails to realize is that most scud owners have deep pockets so they can wait for the right buyer to come to them. I believe that is one reason why these cars are holding their value and even appreciating as of late.

I take it back. Seller's remorse. Not going to sell my Scud. Drove it last night and way too much fun! Those with Scuds, enjoy them.

Proof69 - I agree. When you don't have to sell, time is on your side.

strange thread not really sure why anyone would want to sell their car to the op for wholesale or high wholesale whatever that is but .. I can tell you that i saw a scud at a florida porsche dlr a few weeks ago for I believe 170K so maybe this is a good car for the op of course it was a black 08 ,in lets just say driver condition (BEING GENEROUS)had some yellowed carbon fiber as some of them may have so based on that car I would say the cars I have seen advertised here lately are VERY good deals .. as I would not have bought the fla car at any price near the 170 they were asking..
SO to the op best I can tell the sellers can ask whatever they want and the buyers can offer whatever they want to pay neither one is right or wrong but if you don't agree then you go to the next car .. don't understand all the confusion on that issue.neither one is right or wrong..

You've changed direction a little bit so you might want to be more clear on what exactly you are looking for now.

Not new, been offered for sale since November or December...only thing new is the price was lowered about a month ago to the current $177k. It's a very nice one owner car, but no US carbon package, and the higher miles.
