I can understand, the circuit de catalunya must be feeling threatened because this years race there was the most boring by far, and they've got Valencia to compete with as well.

Barcelona is one of my all time fav GP tracks and I recommend it to anybody: While the race might be boring, the event is fantastic for the fans:

    - absolutely amazing city nearby, Barcelona is so splendid and beautiful, filled with restaurants, bars, discos, parties etc
    - easy access to the track with a local train, train stops right at the track
    - beautiful stands and a track with actual changes in altitude so you can see the cars in several corners

Obviously it is not the home of the Tifosi, but as an experience it is a lot more fun than e.g. Silverstone, Monza, Imola etc.

And Spain is one of the nicest countries to spend a vacation in. Have done it twice so far and planning on a 3rd time next year.

Yes agreed, I like the fact you can walk round the whole circuit.
I have been a few years on the trot, but I'am leaving it for a bit heading to Spa instead.
