ALMS will follow FIA sportscar racing into a GT class.GT-1 is dead and GT-2 becomes the premier class on a prod car basis.
Kind of talking about this in the other Corvette announcement thread.

One question for Chevrolet is will they follow A-M into making their motors available to LMP-1

Wow very cool, should be fun to see the Corvette's, Porsche's, and Ferrari's dueling it out on the alms tracks! I only hope they bring back the Houston ALMS race so I can attend again.

Chevrolet, Audi, BMW, Panoz, Ferrari, Porsche, Ford, Dodge all have a GT-2 car and most will have a minimum of one team, many will have more customer teams, running them in both ALMS and FIA GT sportscars.

GT1 is a joke! There are three cars running in the class, two Corvettes and one Aston Marton. And Corvette makes a big thing about coming in in the top 3 spots, make me laugh.
