I was driving the 430 yesterday when out of the blue a GORGEOUS Maser QP rips by me! The sound of the exhaust was amazing as was the sound of the thing being downshifted. It was by far the nicest QP I've seen. Im thinking of getting one. I had an 06' QP Sport GT with the old F1 style transmission. The car was amazing EXCEPT for the horrible transmission. In fact, I had so many issues with the tranny that the dealer bought it back from me and sold me the 430 at a discount.
Anyone, have the new one? Is it really that much better than an 08" S version? Any input would be greatly appreciated. FYI, I read every review
on the internet about this car, but I would love an actual owners experience.

Yes it's that much better. Especially in terms of the exhaust note you experienced. Go drive one.

Almost got one for my "daily",jaw dropping interior, magnificent sound and handling.
After driving V12 AMGs for the last 4 years though, it left me very disappointed with it's relative lack of power.
I was hoping it would be much better then the previous model but even the 4.7 felt underpowered.
I bought Conti GT Speed instead, ceramic brakes included and AWD will be helpful in the atrocious Chicago winter.
Disclaimer: did not drive QP 4.7 ,only the GranTurismo 4.7 (same thing anyway)

the new gt-s is pretty amazing. i was in a black one about a month ago and i couldn't get over the difference from the earlier cars. the bose stereo, factory bluetooth, a nav that works.... and when you hit that sport button man does it come alive. call you dealer and tell him you want to borrow one for a weekend. i am sure he will give it to you since there is no possible way you will give it back. the gt-s looks best in dark colors given the blacked out headlights.
