2009 NAIAS

I plan on going for sure. anyone else? maybe we should all meet up there one day and go eat afterwards??

 

I plan on going opening day and then again sometime during the week. I've been looking at photos from the preview event online and the show looks like it will be great. I even noticed a silver/black Veyron in the background of one of the photos.

 

The Veyron is the Suburban collection's they are trying to sell.

I figured it was the one from the Troy dealership.

also as a side note i dont think the Veyron will be there for the show, on the map it said preview days only. i can look at it again but im pretty sure that is what it said

I will be getting to Detroit Friday afternoon, and at the show Saturday if anyone else will be around.

 

I will be there tomorrow. 5pm-9pm. Anyone wants to meet up let me know.

 

Yeah, I noticed it said that on the show map. I talked to a show rep today and he said it will be there until this Thursday.

 

I hate it when they do that stuff. I think they did that with the FXX a few years ago too. John Q doesn't rate apparantly.

Not surprised about the Veyron. Suburban may have been wiser to aggressively price the car 10 months ago, rather than let it sit at 1.9MM. I'm sure it will eventually move. They really are fantastic drivers cars. It's the FXX that they pulled a few years ago (or was it last year?) that was annoying. Veyrons are relatively easy to see.

 

$1.9MM is outrageous for the car, especially considering that the faster version and cabrio are on the way. When you're already considering a $1-2MM car, why not splurge and get the best one?

 

They have had $1.XMM car sitting on the floor for 10+ months? I just can't get my head around the math on that.

That's got to hurt.

 

Went yesterday for the industry preview and thought it was a great show overall.
