    Compete in terms of what?

    Styling?

    Performance?

    Practicality?

    REPOST?

    Fuel Economy?

    Drag Racing?

    Impressing women?

    Impressing teenagers?

    Technological REPOST breakthrough?

    REPOST?

Seriously though, other than REPOST styling, panty magnetism factor and ITALIAN PASSION, I think the GT-R has most REPOST supercars beat. The REPOST hype is simply ridiculous. For crying out loud European REPOST reviews are calling the GT-R a 'baby Veyron' and I think Jeremy Clarkson is going to use the word "ASTONISHING" about 20 times when he finally drives the GT-R.

    Compete with Ferrari's?
I think it beats most Ferrari's in terms of performance and value!

Tell me, how are you going to feel when one of these pulls up next to your F430 Spider at the light?

You will soon be in his rear view mirror!

Obviously in terms of design and exclusivity and pedigree, Ferrari wins hands down!

But in an asphalt showdown, you might feel pretty small!

I agree with you guys but the GT-R is a daily drive supercar just as the Porsche for example... A Ferrari takes too many attention when stopping at a traffic light for example and everybody wants to hear its sound and they start filming you etc... In the GT-R or a 997 Turbo for example you don't get that. Unless a person like us that understands cars will lay his attention at these two... Well, the Ferrari is with no doubt the better looking but I think that the GT-R is faster... Performance wise and Value wise the GT-R takes it... Yes, it's weird. But Nissan did it !

^ I don't know about that....... I think the GT-R gets much more attention around here, maybe because there are too many Italian exotics around OC. There was a GT-R downtown HB a month ago and bystanders were going nuts looking at the car. Huge straffic jam starts to form - I don't see the same reaction from a F430.

Not a real fan of the GT-R as of late, give me a 1999-up R34 GT-R any day over a R-35 (LOL I have a R34 GT-R), but in my opinion, the F-cars just have more feel/substance to them. The GT-R right now is hot becuase it's different, but once that wears off, it will be another in the crowd, this is my opinion at least...

Just like ALL GTR's previous to this one. :D:D

I have driven them all, from stock R32 GTR's to 600+ HP R33 GTR's to 600+ HP R34 GTR's and personally.............I would much rather own my 348 over any GTR I have ever driven. :):)

Dont get me wrong, they are fun cars, but different animals to Ferraris. :):)

I'm sorry but this car is just plain ugly. It could break the sound barrier and it wouldn't get my vote.

Any more ugly than the Veyron or the Enzo? I think that's debatable.

The enzo is ugly??? I know an eye doctor who could help you out with a prescription for a pair of glasses...

I agree on the bit about the veyron. It is a tad on the ugly side but not an abomination!

I'm a proud owner of F-cars for many years, you know, this GT-R just got my attention for its supercar level performance at that price point.

Having driven neither, I am not equipped to comment on performance.

Asthetically however, both cars are not lookers. The rear of the GTR is fantastic, but the rest of it leaves me cold. And the 430 is just awkward.

I have a 360 and think the Enzo is dorky looking - too spaceship like - the front end looks like something from my kid's lego bionicles.

Agreed, the veyron is a big off looking, esp. in person...the enzo in person is very agressive and unique....

Everyone that I know that thought the Enzo was ugly come back still drooling after seeing one in real life.

The GTR in pictures it looks like a super evo, but the evo isn't ugly.

The Veyron looks much better than the pics might suggest, and the two tone color hurts it some.

And I would rather buy a NSX over the nissan.

The Enzo looks much much better in flesh than on pictures. The Veyron is more impressive in person than on a computer monitor.

Guess what~ The GT-R also looks way better when it's massive front end stares you down in person.

if you read this months issue of motortrend i believe it is (just saw it in grocery store) they have the gt-r beating the f430 around the racetrack by more than 2 seconds.. They clocked it 0-60 in 3.2 seconds.

The japs need to go to style school as everything they make is pretty ugly in regard to cars.
