Sounds like a plan!!
I'm calling this one early. With Hurricane Bill in the mix, it's just too iffy. It's not looking too good for dry roads for our road tour and gathering in Westbrook tomorrow. The weather looks much more promising on August 29th, so we are rescheduling this event for next Saturday. I hope this doesn't create any inconvenience for anyone. Different day but same time and place: Here are the directions again for next Saturday: Date: Saturday, August 29th (New Rain Date will be Saturday, September 5th) Gathering time: Between 10-10:30am Gathering place: We will all gather at the Denny's parking lot in Westbrook. It is located at Exit 65 (Essex Rd or Rte 153) on I-95 and is on the south side of the I-95, east side of 153/Essex Rd.. It is easy to get to and easy to find. It has a large parking lot and no one ever parks in the lot behind the building, so there should be plenty of room. The address is: 28 Flat Rock Place, Westbrook, CT http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um...image&resnum=1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Makes sense Craig. Weather looks iffy for both Sat & Sun. Hopefully I can make it next weekend. I should be picking up the TR Tues or Wed of next week, so that will be a nice ride down to your place in it if the weather holds for us. Joe
Hmmm....weather was supposed to be iffy today too but not a drop of rain! I'm still up for a drive tomorrow
My boss gets some major points for switching weekend shifts last minute so I can work tomorrow but have off next Saturday
That's great, Jess! I was hoping moving the gathering to the 29th wouldn't screw you up. Now, if we can just get the showers to stay away next Saturday. Everyone needs to think good thoughts. This summer has been really hard on weekend activities.
7 troopers ignored mother nature and showed up anyway...also a gorgeous ERA GT40 replica! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry I couldn't make it today, guys. I was in the emergency room yesterday and still feeling pretty low today. They think it's pneumonia. Hopefully the anti-biotics will start kicking in soon. I sure wanted to be there.
Thanks, guys. I'm on Avelox. They didn't give me any painkillers though and that's the worst of it. From what I've read, the antibiotics usually start helping in 2-3 days. I hope that's the case.
As long as the drug covers the bug causing the infection, and it's not viral, you should feel better in a few days. What kind of pain are you having to require analgesics?
Wow sorry to hear Craig...rest up and get better soon! As MJ said, let us know if you need anything. For example, I'll volunteer first to exercise the Noble
Hi Craig, I'm not a medical doctor (although I did stay a Holiday Inn Express last night) so I cannot provide any insight, however, I can and do wish you a full and speedy recovery. - Ed -
Sorry that I missed today's gathering but we've only got a few more weeks of outdoor polo season and some of the ponies got new tires ...... I mean ........ new shoes today. I'd like to see that ERA up close. Jay - just bring her back with a full tank of fuel - Ed -
I am sorry I missed today as well - that ERA replica would have been fun to check out. It seems the car has other plans for me; I lost power early in the week and while fiddling around I discovered the common 456 coolant hose malady. Looks like the water pump inlet was replaced, but not the heater core return... Hopefully I will have parts for early this week, at least it gives me a chance to address my ignition wires: Image Unavailable, Please Login
