By no means want to take this thread off its current track but the title states CT ongoing meet so hoping it was OK to post the following here.... A group of us (Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, Masarti etc owners) are planning a run to CT, Hartford-Glastonbury area on Oct 18nth for a meet/rally. Lunch in the area, possible scenic cruise, meet some car enthusiasts outside of Ma etc... Possibly have some NY area exotic owners meeting us there as well. Please let me know if your group would like to meet up in that area on that date. -again Oct 18nth- Just PM me and would like to put you in touch with the group organizer up here..... it isn't me just helping put the word out. If not, no problemo and thanks for taking the time to read this post We are hoping someone from your area CT may even help us with some advice of venue to book for lunch, possible nice roads to explore etc... few people maybe willing to head up prior to the event to map things out and help ensure a well planned out day.

A caravan from Boston and another from NH are coming with another possible from the left half of the State. Happy to hook you up with them. CT isn't to far from where I am in Newport RI and this could be a great connection to help ensure the annual Newport RI get together has a nice mix of people from New England area as well. Roy....I assume you will catch us in Glastonbury to cruise in. Send me a Email and I'll forward the cruise map. We plan on meeting at GBury Starbucks identified at post #1 this thread. We will depart for Ed's around 10:00. I'll put you down for 2. All - Present list contains 22 cars, 3 bikes and 48 people cruising up with us. Thats a fairly aggressive trip. I'm considering breaking this down to 2 groups to help keep everyone togetherish. I already have one set of walkie talkies but anyone else with a set of those Wal-Mart family talkies would be appreciated. We also need a few more leaders/sweepers that (more or less) know the route. Any volunteers? Keep in mind that the weekend weather appears to be not so special for Saturday. FoNE has cancelled their event and Fairfield Concours may also be challenged. This thing could get out of control quickly if people need something to do. ***MOST IMPORTANTLY*** Ed's gonna get mad at me but I don't care. He's providing the venue, entertainment and refreshments. Frankly...thats not right. If you try to pass him a few bucks he's gonna say no. If you give it to me, I'll hide it in his house someplace so he can't reject it. Lane, I've only got one reply on the BMW boards, and they said they would feel out of place in a 328is. Doesn't sound very "confirmed." Sorry I couldn't gether more interest. I haven't seen anyone post up about wanting to ride in together from the Springfield area, so I just might head down to G'bury afterall to ride up with all of you. That would be quite some experience... I'll post once my brain (aka my wife) make's up her mind.
Thanks for the PMs I received about the AVF meet, it sounds like such a great time. Regretfully I had to reschedule one of today's appointments due to the rain and it was moved to Sun morning. I own/operate a new business and I'm not quite at the point where I can refuse any opportunity, and have to prioritize accordingly. As it stands I could get up to the Palmer area by 130PM, but I don't know how much I'll have missed by then. Hope everyone has a safe trip there and back, and enjoys the day that's been planned!
