Looks like I missed a good turnout today. Wish I could have made it. I even got the 308 down off the lift yesterday so I could be out bright and early today. Then the wife got up at 2AM and I knew I was in trouble. Hope some of the new folks are there next week. I am using this experience to lobby the wife for a F-Car with four seats so I could have just brought the kids along instead of missing the meet. :)

Wow, What a day! New friends and a great F-Car showing as well as others. Craig’s Noble is beautiful and sounds formidable even at low speeds. Jay your pictures are fantastic, I love the one of my car. Lane (A.K.A. The Captain Richards pusher man) was the hero of the day letting us all use his magic elixir to shine up the cars. The gathering is truly something special and I believe it will be the weekly sanity anchor that I need. On the way home I noticed my E-Brake was hung up and I could not get the cable to release all the way, have to fix that before next week. I cooked the right year slightly, but I checked it out and I don't think it's bad. Can't wait until next week.

Hi John....Nice to see you at FoNE

Unfortunately the trek to Woburn is a bit far for us Southern Gatherers. About 2.5 hours for me. I'd love to be there but... Maybe with the DD? we'll see.

Hey all, sorry to be so slow on the posting from last weekend; ive been extremely busy.

It was great to see everyone at such a great turn out considering it was mothers day. I ordered up some "captains" as well =)

I took a ton of pics, can be found here as usual http://picasaweb.google.com/grellk/FerrariDucatiMeets

Well, I am off to deals gap, blood mountain, and the cherahala highway for a week of insane twisties...and then I come back and head up to Loudon for 2 days at the track..whew!

I *may* be at the Memorial day weekend meet, depending on how beat up I am.

Take care and see you all soon!

Hello my F-chat friends. I was hoping to get one more Sunday ride in before my shoulder surgery, but it doesn't look good for this weekend. Sunday is looking rainy in the morning and cloudy and chilly in the afternoon. I will miss the meets, but look forward to seeing you all in about 5 weeks. If I can convince my surgeon that shifting a Ferrari should be part of my physical therapy, I will be back sooner. Take care all. Joe

Joe - if you would like to go to a meet during your recovery I'd be glad to pick you up. If I'm not going I'm sure someone else would be happy to have you along. Post a request when you're ready.

I'll be there tomorrow with the TR as long as it is not raining (wet roads won't stop me, it needs a bath anyway). Had it out today, still got a bad vibration in the front end, but no more gas leak.

I finally got the chance to catch up with you guys last week - great machines, great people, something to look forward to every week. Next time I come by I'll get the pollen off before I get there....

Lane, if that was you thinking about an M3 for a DD, do it!

I took the whole thing a part and checked the shoes. They still have a good amount of material on them, then I checked the cable. It seems the mechanicals in the bottom of the drum brake are freezing up and holding the shoes against the drum slightly. I lubed up the parts and adjusted the cable and all seems to be working now. I found a brokem cable clamp while I was under there, so that got replaced as well. I have a feeling however, that I will be visiting this problem again. I also had a chance to inspect the rear brake pads and they will need replacing by winter, maybe next spring.

I'm still considering going this morning....let's say around 9:00 if the rain doesn't come back. Anyone else?

I'll be there about 9:30. My dad is visiting from Las Vegas and wanted to meet some of the CT guys. Hope someone is there. If not, I can show him the parking lot.
