Hey everyone! I love this site! I used to be a more social member here, but had some computer problems, haven't been on in a few months, and created a new username for a fresh start.

Anyhoo, I was wondering what exotics to expect at the Dream Cruise this Saturday. Who's all going, and what good events are there going to be?

Well, all this week is the kinda unofficial Dream Cruise week so it's getting really busy down there. Last night, in the way of exotics, there was a Verde Ithica LP640 Roadster, Ferrari 599 and 355 Spider on Woodward, as well as a F430 Spider and Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder in Downtown Birmingham.

Here are the pics I took: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=34405039&l=fce8fdf343&id=38512126

Me, personally, I think I actually prefer this week to the actual Dream Cruise because right now you can actually see the cars move. On Saturday, it'll pretty much be a huge parking lot, but its still fun.

That is true. I remember last year there being a few Vipers and a handful of other exotics a couple days before the actual Cruise. I'd love to hear one on the road this year, but just seeing one is a treat for me. :)

Those are some amazing pictures, by the way. From 75 on are just this week? That's amazing!

I'll be down there this weekend. Last year was insane. You can always count on some awesome exotics to be down there. It's also just a great enviroment. I can't wait for this year. I have yet to see anything "outrageous" like the Enzo that was down there awhile ago. There are always the F430's and Gallardo's. Cant wait for this year!

Lots of Ferraris out tonight, but I went through Birmingham around 2:30 PM and saw a silver 360 Modena with challenge grille at the Townsend, the Rosso Fiorano 360 Modena at Birmingham Imports, and a black 550 at Maserati of Troy.

Spot of the day was a red with black stripes (I think) 16M going north on Woodward. Couldn't get as nice a pic as I wanted though.

    Hey Louis,

It sounds like you are having some incredible spots! However, it says I cannot view any of your photos unless I join Facebook. Any other way around this? Or maybe you could put up a direct picture or two of your favorites so far? Thanks!

I talked to the owner a few years back, owned a bar in Detroit. He was upset about the scheduled maintenance that revealed a bad head gasket and some suspension replacements. Total cost was upwards of $18,000 if I remember correctly.

I didnt have a Facebook. That's why I asked if there was any other way around it. However, I did join. Your pictures are great Louis. I cant believe all that is going on in Michigan. I really like that Arancio Borealis LP640. What a beautiful machine.

Thanks Chris! Agreed about the LP640 - absolutely gorgeous.

My spot of the day for today was an orange LP640 Roadster with black wheels going north, until I saw a silver Saleen S7 with a silver 360 Modena (same one I saw yesterday) driving together. Unfortunately it was getting dark out and most of pictures came out blurry.

I also saw my first ever Qvale Mangusta!

Oh yeah, and I saw the yellow SV. First it turned around to go south, then came back going north a little later with a yellow Gallardo Sypder behind it.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a Mulliner before. Very cool car! :)

To be honest, I was pretty disappointed with today's showing of exotics, although I did get there late and left pretty early, so maybe I just missed everything. I only saw a red 360 Spider and a yellow F430 Spider, both with challenge grilles. And of course the Testarossa and F430 in the exotic lot, as well as the S7s. To make up for the lack of exotics I went by Cauley and they've got a ton of good stuff:

    288 GTO
    Two Scuderias
    Challenge Stradale
An old (1960s I think) Ferrari in the back of the service area, but it was too far away from the window so I couldn't see what it was. Anybody know?

I went down there for about two hours yesterday. I parked way too far down to walk to Old Woodward where I had wanted to go. I was shocked at the lack of "exotic cars". Last year I can remember countless F430's and Gallardo's, etc. I saw one F430 Spider. That was it in terms of Ferrari. The only other notable cars I saw were a Fisker Tramonto, Ford GT, and a Shelby Series 1. I was a bit dissapointed, but then again, the Dream Cruise is meant for classics.

On the other hand, that heat was brutal!

Thank you again my friends for posting The Woodward Ave. Cruise Pictures. Your efforts are appreciated. A lot of nice cars in Michigan, in spite of the economy.

Nice pics! I've never heard of a Shelby Series 1 not being silver.

Nice to see the Fisker still in Michigan. I saw it at Somerset last year and noticed it was from PA and assumed it wouldn't be around too much longer.
