Anybody else watching? This is one of my fav's to watch all year. 200 cars running! http://www.sportauto-online.de/24h-rennen-nuerburgring-live-stream-1265111.html I woke up to watch the start, then have been watching the last couple hours. Pretty good racing with the Porsche's and Audi's. Crazy fire on the Lotus as the driver bailed out of a moving car!
Ya I can't wait to see her running! The Farnbacher 430 started a ways down the field but is in 5th now. They are having a great run.
I forgot to link the radiolemans.com feed, so thanks for doing so. I put the video feed volume very low so you can still somewhat hear the cars, then have the rlm feed going. Do you follow the RLM Midweek Motorsports Listeners Collective on Facebook as well? http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5508588715&ref=ts#topic_top
I'm watching on live timing and live streaming, but it's about time to go out do to chores. For a while Bergmeister had the Hybrid in FIRST ! ! ! Audi's experiencing reliability issues - #98 out a while ago with engine failure; #100 stopped at Pflanzgarten; #2 puncture. Farnbacher up in 4th right now. Sabine's car in 11th. Bergmeister now showing 2:48.069 behind #99 and over 6 min ahead of third place. Interesting interview with Harmut Kristen (Porsche Motorsport Director), said they would be happy if they could make it in the top 10 - guess he must be elated having been number 1 for a while. Camera focused at pit out as usual in the night, some interviews and cameras in the pits (6 cars share a garage - a bit cozy). Jim, glad to hear you'll be running next year - what class would you run in? Carol in the garage with the #26 BMW right now - http://www.oneighturbo.com/nurburgring-24-hour-live/
Carol! I knew you'd show up. I just got back from some errands and a work party. Time to catch up with the race!
Good morning Travis and Jim - DAMN - the Porsche Hybrid was leading the race and stopped on the track apparently with a "technical issue" - it was so sad watching it on the transporter back to the track. But on the upside the Farnbacher FERRARI is now SECOND overall...just hope it last the remaing few hours. Looks like the experimentals had it over the regular cars so Jim, how about overall for next year...that's not much to ask, huh!?!?! Audi snagged the front two rows but the only remaining ones are Phoenix and Black Falcon teams. The Farnbacher Ferrari is 9:06.968 behind the first place BMW. Time to go check out F1. Catch you guys in a bit. Carol
40 minutes to go and the BMW is smoking and could the Ferrari win??? crossing fingers/toes for this one.

Very sad for Manthey/Porsche but great for BMW and Ferrari....... first Ferrari ever drove the 24h at the Ring and started only from position 43 and at the end at place 2 ...... congrats..... and the stock GT3-RS at place 13.... and it will be driven back to Porsche tomorrow by itself without trailering...... great commercial!
I missed the last 5 hours but I'm glad to see the Ferrari take 2nd! I was hoping for an Audi win, but was secretly cheering on the hybrid Porsche.
Well done to Farnbacher! I wasnt sure how they would go over 24hrs at the Ring but they did really well, I take my hat off to them. Hopefully we see more Ferraris in VLN and the 24hrs in the future.
