Dead battery would be my first guess with the info provided.
If the battery is good maybe provide more details:

    Will it start and drive?
    Do the dash instruments work?
Have you tried to jump start the car recently?

Did this happen after the battery went dead or was the car stored for a long period of time? If so, you could try a hard reset on the battery. If that doesn't then the next thing that I would try would be a proxi alignment.

Just had this on my 2014–same as your photo. After checking all fuses related to dashboard ECU, I pulled the negative battery terminal for 10-minutes. Seems it reset computer and dashboard has returned. By the way, never had a car where checking fuses was so difficult.

Hard battery reset and see what happens, probably will be fine after that.

Joegnsx, the fuse access is terrible on that car.

Ferrari has not used bulbs for gauge illumination for almost 20 years. A 458 uses a TFT LCD dash display with some kind of electronic backlighting (LED, Electro-luminescent foil, etc). When the dash is black like that it is either not booting up correctly when the car is started due to something like a bad battery or the display is defective and needs repair/replacement.

I thought the OP was referring to a trouble light ( like the 2 illuminated ones), not the gauges... though in hindsight that was really obtuse on my part. Thanks for the tech info. :)
