The California Workshop Manual D4.04 p. 683 is the only location I've see any info on strut swap.

I have the manual and found a few sketchy youtube videos out there, but I was hoping for/looking for something even more rudimentary or greater detail as guide.

I just did the rears on our 2013 Ferrari California. If you’ve done struts before the procedure is exactly the same. All the fasteners were accessible from the wheel wells and no removal of the liner was needed. You’ll need a spring compressor and the coil over spanner wrenches to adjust and lock the rings together.

Very easy replacement and you can get the struts on ebay for cheap!

Yes. I had a set of new rears that came with the California we just bought. I installed. The feel and action are very similar to the Mag ride on our C6 Corvette which is the same tech. Connectors and position sensors are the same too. Being new they are stiff and the ride height has to settle for final adjustment. Switching between suspension modes is noticeable as expected.
